    FS 2001 Cobra Convertible

Black, with tan top. Minor mods such as Flowmaster super 44's, and an o/r H pipe. SCT Tuner with bama tunes comes with the car, mainly to adjust for the 4.10 gears that were installed. The bearings and traction-lok were replaced while the diff was open. New rear tires, and new front headlights...

    Super 44 mufflers

So I really like the sound of these. Which type would I order, as far as offset goes for an 01 cobra ? Also I just put a Mac o/r H pipe on. Is it really necessary for me to buy a cat back, or can I just have the muffler shop fab the pipes up to fit ??

    Exhaust rattle ?

I just installed a bbk O/R h pipe on my 01. I still have the stock cat-back in place, and it sounds....weird. Either it's super raspy, or something is rattling. I didnt hear it before the h pipe, do you think that pipe is 'too much' for the stock mufflers and it isn't sounding right ? I've heard...

    Brakes ?

Since I'm new to the cobra world, I'm looking to replace rear pads and rotors on an 01. Does anyone know of better/cheaper options than ford ? Tousley wants $90 a rotor , but I see reybestos or others on rock auto for half that. Are they any good ?

    Exhaust question

I have an o/r h pipe, and would like to get mufflers to compliment that. I was quoted at $180-$200 to install the pipe and mufflers, labor only. I am interested in the flowmaster super 44's, but was told I should buy the catback setup from flowmaster. Is there much of a difference if I just buy...

    Changed to 4.10s

I know there are slot of threads on gear changes, just wanted to state my own opinion. I bought my cobra back in march, with 37,000 miles. As soon as I began driving it I noticed a low grumbling noise in the rear. Just so happened that the bearings were failing. So of course in with changing...

New to the boards, 01 Convertible

Picked up an 01 Convertible from a buddy at work who no longer was interested in it. Has 38,000 miles, and only minor weathering and usage on the exterior. Interior driver seat has a little wear. Offered him $10k, and he wanted to get rid of it, so he took it. Good deal ? Only concern of mine is...
