    Current New Vehicle Market

I read somewhere that its Ft Wayne only and because they can't get trucks shipped from the plant so things are backing up. I think if they could get them to (force them on) the dealers they wouldn't have a problem doing so. Depends on some execs metrics I bet.

    Current New Vehicle Market

Ford has had some big issues recently. Current Explorer launch was terrible. 3.5 NA V6 engines with the internal water pumps failing taking out engines. 1.5L/1.6L/2.0L ecoboost engines with the slit open deck blocks flowing coolant into the cylinders taking out engines. Hoping my 19 Edge wont...

    Current New Vehicle Market

Yep, Ive been saying this all along. Whoever can get stock to the lots now is going to pull sales from other OEMs. As much as they want to wish the "make to order" model is going to be the new normal, it wont be unless its propped up by incentives. The want/need is just too strong. Going...

Used car prices about to go into free fall

But there is inventory, its just not at the dealers. There are billions of dollars worth of 99.9% built vehicles just sitting. I am not sure how the automakers are carrying that on their books. Biggest problem for them will be as interest rates rise, and the economy falls, people who ordered...

    Current New Vehicle Market

Ford even changed their online configurator to remove options on vehicles, with an alert now when you go to the site that some options are no longer available. Think about how many 99% complete vehicles are sitting, technically spoken for, but when the economy tanks people may cancel those...

Ford is getting worried about getting stuck with all those unfinished vehicles, announced they are shipping them.

Carvana Update - Sold my truck

Reminds me of July 2019 when I was shopping the left over Explorers as the 20 redesigns were hitting the lots. I stopped at a semi-local dealer that had one left, to talk to a salesman about what they wanted for it. It was a busy time of day (late afternoon) and the only one who could get to me...

Why was NA v6 dropped from 2020 explorer?

Probably because they knew that the internal water pump designs on those transverse engines was going to be costly if they continued on with them.

    Detached Garage...

Go 16' high and 14' x 14' if you can. The extra height will allow an upstairs/mezzanine office, etc. and the larger OHD's make it nice if you want to get a 5th wheel camper in there.

    Q & A Session... - Ask a Ford Dealer

Any opinion on all the Canadian vehicles being brought over and sold as used here in the US? I am seeing alot of trucks/SUVs here in MI that come from Canada, the miles are lower and the prices lower. How are recalls handled for those vehicles?

    Q & A Session... - Ask a Ford Dealer

It just got much better for my area. I just saw today big rebates + 0% for 60mo Edge/Escape Explorer Edge is 0%/60mo + 5k, seems almost like a mistake

Any chance of good rebates combined with 0% on '19 Explorers now that the '20's are out? They had good deals going on Escapes but I didnt see the same for Explorers

**UPDATED** Potential Problem! | Purple Mattress

I did the research and ended up going latex, best decision ever. Totally able to customize with different firmness using 4 different interchangeable layers. Also does not sag over time at all like the synthetic foam ones all will eventually do.

    Q & A Session... - Ask a Ford Dealer

I really like the current gen Explorer and would pick one up as an outgoing model if not for that damn internal 3.5 water pump. What a stupid idea. What a way to compromise an otherwise fantastic engine. Do the 2.3 eco's hold up and have acceptable mpg?

    Q & A Session... - Ask a Ford Dealer

Village Ford in Dearborn has both X and A/Z prices listed right on their website for anyone interested. I guess it makes sense when you are in Ford's home town. One thing I have noticed is that over the years Invoice and Plan prices have tightened right up to MSRP. Must be the OE's new sales...
