I read somewhere that its Ft Wayne only and because they can't get trucks shipped from the plant so things are backing up.
I think if they could get them to (force them on) the dealers they wouldn't have a problem doing so.
Depends on some execs metrics I bet.
Ford has had some big issues recently. Current Explorer launch was terrible. 3.5 NA V6 engines with the internal water pumps failing taking out engines. 1.5L/1.6L/2.0L ecoboost engines with the slit open deck blocks flowing coolant into the cylinders taking out engines. Hoping my 19 Edge wont...
Yep, Ive been saying this all along. Whoever can get stock to the lots now is going to pull sales from other OEMs. As much as they want to wish the "make to order" model is going to be the new normal, it wont be unless its propped up by incentives. The want/need is just too strong. Going...
But there is inventory, its just not at the dealers. There are billions of dollars worth of 99.9% built vehicles just sitting. I am not sure how the automakers are carrying that on their books. Biggest problem for them will be as interest rates rise, and the economy falls, people who ordered...
Ford even changed their online configurator to remove options on vehicles, with an alert now when you go to the site that some options are no longer available.
Think about how many 99% complete vehicles are sitting, technically spoken for, but when the economy tanks people may cancel those...
Reminds me of July 2019 when I was shopping the left over Explorers as the 20 redesigns were hitting the lots. I stopped at a semi-local dealer that had one left, to talk to a salesman about what they wanted for it. It was a busy time of day (late afternoon) and the only one who could get to me...
Go 16' high and 14' x 14' if you can.
The extra height will allow an upstairs/mezzanine office, etc. and the larger OHD's make it nice if you want to get a 5th wheel camper in there.
Any opinion on all the Canadian vehicles being brought over and sold as used here in the US? I am seeing alot of trucks/SUVs here in MI that come from Canada, the miles are lower and the prices lower.
How are recalls handled for those vehicles?
Any chance of good rebates combined with 0% on '19 Explorers now that the '20's are out?
They had good deals going on Escapes but I didnt see the same for Explorers
I did the research and ended up going latex, best decision ever. Totally able to customize with different firmness using 4 different interchangeable layers. Also does not sag over time at all like the synthetic foam ones all will eventually do.
I really like the current gen Explorer and would pick one up as an outgoing model if not for that damn internal 3.5 water pump. What a stupid idea. What a way to compromise an otherwise fantastic engine. Do the 2.3 eco's hold up and have acceptable mpg?
Village Ford in Dearborn has both X and A/Z prices listed right on their website for anyone interested.
I guess it makes sense when you are in Ford's home town.
One thing I have noticed is that over the years Invoice and Plan prices have tightened right up to MSRP. Must be the OE's new sales...
Do some research on latex mattresses, I have one and I love it. Cheaper than the fake foam, and they don't break down/sag like the man made foam ones do. You can even customize the firmness of the layers as you want, and change them around over time.
It doesn't come with enough to justify the increases in price.
Prices for vehicles always go up, I understand that, but the curve for trucks has gotten MUCH steeper in the last 8-10 years vs other vehicles.
Relatively cheap fuel and longer term loans have keep it going, but it won't go much...
Read up on latex mattresses, comes in 4" layers that you specify firmness. I love mine, latex does not break down like foam does. Even the expensive tempur foam ones will sag. Plus with the individual layers you can replace them or move them around in the mattress cover to come up with the feel...
It hurts more in MI if the MSRP is high because thats what the sales tax is based on (sale price before rebates). 6% of 70k is $4200.
I said it when the new SD's came out that they are pricing these trucks too high, but I guess the market determines that.
I want a new truck, and I could...
If you go LS, they are the exact same tractors as New Holland and Case IH, just the LS has better loaders and lower price. Go stop by a Case IH dealer and look at the tag on the back of the tractor, it says LS Mtron, they are LS tractors with different graphics.
Take a look at the thread over on the 'bullet about the 7.0L engine.
Post in there of a document calling out MY2020 7.3L gasser for SD and 5.2L SC for GT500, could it be real?
