Ok so ive been contemplating just unbolting the K-member and dropping the engine out from the bottom. I dont have a car lift but i do have a forklift so i could use that to pick up the front of the car to get the engine out. Is this the best way to take one of these engines out of these cars?

I want to remove the heads from the engine while its still in the car. Obviously the front timing cover will need to come off but will i need to mess with the oil pan at all to do this procedure? Do you guys have any tips or tricks or is there anything I should be aware of while doing this job?

Ive already decided that im just going to put a new long block in it and swap it to a 5 speed. I get that it may be low production with it being an automatic but I just cannot have a Mustang that isnt a manual. Rowing the gears in these cars is one of the best parts for me The interior is okay...

Do cams make a big impact in these 4 valves and is it worth the cost?

Its got a lotta miles, 166k. That’s probably also why the lower price but it its still in remarkably good condition still overall. Its an auto unfortunately which I do plan on swapping out for a 5 speed

Im not sure why it failed. I bought it this way. Ive owned a couple of other mustangs with mod motors and a crown vick with a 2v but never really had to dig into them mechanically so it’s somewhat new territory for me
