Anyone have electrical knowledge about SN95?

Posting an update. I replaced the ignition switch module which helped my situation. The car now will go into sleep mode which drops the current draw quite a bit, but it still shows about 250ma. I hear my ABS module constantly clicking as well. In the process of removing fuses and testing I...

Anyone have electrical knowledge about SN95?

I believe the body control module appeared a few years later. This is a 1998.

Anyone have electrical knowledge about SN95?

At this point, given the several voltages I've measured where I shouldn't have any with the key off, I think the next logical approach is to just replace the ignition switch module. When I pull it apart I might find something surprising that changes my opinion, but for now I think it is the...

Anyone have electrical knowledge about SN95?

Thanks for all of this. Yes and no about the sleep test. I saw and read that write up about doing the parasitic drain test. When I first tested the current draw I allowed the car to sit for over an hour and the drain stayed the same at 1.1 amps. I suspect that the amount of drain is so large or...

Anyone have electrical knowledge about SN95?

I've got a bit more data. Was able to steal some time this morning to do some electrical tests. I checked current draw from my battery and removed 4 different fuses, numbers #1, #4, #7, #10. Pulling #1 and separately pulling #10 dropped the draw from 1.1A to .97A each. I didn't try testing...

Anyone have electrical knowledge about SN95?

Vinnie - this is great...thanks! I looked at the 5 PDFs you sent me and they cover the area pretty good. I won't be able to disassemble my dash for a couple of days so I'm planning my attack now. Can you explain what "C209" means? Is it a connection point I can find under my dash? Also...

Anyone have electrical knowledge about SN95?

I did look at those two pages you attached. Thanks for that. It also looks like the IMRCs have power through fuse 10 if that is the problem.

Anyone have electrical knowledge about SN95?

Thanks guys for all of the help. I’ve had out of town visitors so limited time to do deeper tests. However, if fuse 1 does feed directly to the ignition switch then that seems like the probable problem. There is no question that fuse 1 is feeding the items that are staying on. Does anyone know...

Anyone have electrical knowledge about SN95?

Thanks hotcobra, but unfortunately it doesn’t like any 14 digits I use. Vinnie - thanks for the offer to help. I havent had time to fully diagnose, other than to confirm voltage isn’t being switch off. The draw I see from the battery is about 1.1 amps, so it drops quickly if I don’t drive the...

Anyone have electrical knowledge about SN95?

Thank you for the quick reply. I clicked on that link but it expects credentials to have access. I've been doing some research and am wondering if the switchable power comes through the ignition switch module. If yes, then maybe something has failed in there that is allowing continuous power...

Anyone have electrical knowledge about SN95?

I have a 1998 Cobra and have developed an electrical short that keeps power supplied to a few components after the ignition is off. Examples are the rear defroster and convertible top. This is causing a slow battery drain and kills the battery after a few days, so I need fix it. I can remove...

    WTB Ford Injectors

I didn't know Ford made 58lb ones. How much do you want and do you have any info on them?

    WTB Ford Injectors

Not too picky on the size but at least 60lb Siemens Deka/Ford or larger.

Anyone ever open up a BAS or BAP?

Aren't these things just step-up transformers, or do they have some electronics in them?
