I have my Cobra insured through the National Corvette Museum. I learned about them back when I had my vette. Costs about $450/yr and I can put 6k miles a year on it. It's also insured with full coverage for the agreed upon value.
I had this exact issue on my Cobra recently. I filled and burped from the coolant crossover tube and solved all my coolant issues. I'd give that a shot first. It's cheap and just takes a little time.
I bought my Cobra recently and it had an aftermarket alarm installed. I just got under the dash and unplugged it all. Then I got a couple Ford keyfobs and programmed them to the car. Was really pretty easy.
At the moment I only plan to lower the car and maybe replace the BBK throttle body since it seems to be sticking even after I took it out and cleaned it really well.
Only other thing I want to do ASAP is get an aux port hooked up to the stock radio somehow.
