Brake Cooling Kit for 07-09 SVT Shelby Gt500 Mustang Ford

I have the kit from Vorshlag and it works really well. I do take my car to the track and I can say with confidence these work. I actually had the JLT kit but decided to upgrade to Vorshlag's, if you don't go to the track then the JLT kit is enough. EDIT: just saw your reply about the rears. As...

    Factory panhard bar/arm

You should have that brace installed, I believe aftermarket kits either re use the stock one or have a brace that comes with the kit.

    Swapping pads on my 2011

For the rear calipers you are supposed to screw the piston back in, not push it. There is a very useful tool for that, here is one example https://www.summitracing.com/parts/apt-78618 Also, IMO the powerstop pads are not enough for the GT500. We have the same pads on my dad's Mazda and they're...

Swirl Tank Direction? Which is in/out?

Probably not because the pump needs to be primed with water to work. So any air bubbles the pump will stop working. You can flush most of it by disconnecting the HE, to completely change the coolant you'll have to flush the whole system a couple of times with new coolant.

    GT500 dirty brake fluid

I don't know what or where this contamination is coming from, at the very least I don't believe its rust. I've referenced the TMO thread because if it was dirt from the clutch, then the brake fluid should stay clean once the two systems are separated, and thats what people have reported.

    GT500 dirty brake fluid

Stainless steel does not rust, it behaves like aluminum where it forms a protective layer. In a highly corrosive environment it might but not in this case. Even if it did, the moisture absorbed by the brake fluid is already bonded to it, so how would it bond to the metal also? Furthermore, if...

    GT500 dirty brake fluid

I don't think the rust explanation is valid. The braking system has all stainless steel or aluminum components so where is the rust coming from? Rust is still metal, and it will flake. The dirt described does no resemble rust at all. Finally, this dirt accumulates fast and people have observed...

    GT500 dirty brake fluid

There is a thread on this issue on TMO forums. The short answer is the dirt comes from the clutch because it shares the reservoir with the brakes. People who installed a reservoir for the clutch noted that the brake fluid stayed clean and the clutch fluid got dirty with the same stuff you're...

Dual pass he vs triple pass

Short answer, anything you get is better than stock. There are multiple threads of reviews and you should see IAT2 30-35* above ambient with either one. Any other mod will not have a direct effect on IAT2 alone, at least I haven't seen any. That being said, best solution by far is killer...

    Brake Lines & Pads

Well, in your use case you need the magic pad that'll endure abuse but have good street-ability, which doesn't exist. You're gonna have to try a couple of pads and see what you like best. Don't go overboard and get pads that won't work unless hot, that'd be dangerous. I personally went with the...
