Yes the Gurney flap is a plastic lip add on that comes in the trunk. The stock spoiler on the car is predrilled for it and has screws in those holes. When you add the Gurney piece, it comes with slightly longer screws. You remove the existing screws and secure using the longer screws. The flap...
I ended up in this exact boat. Same amount on the exact car I wanted. If you look around the country, you'll find that 6k over is below the norm. Think about it this way, lets say that car sells and you look back on it thinking I had the chance to make it mine and I held out and lost it. Or I...
I concur with 93 347. Why use nitrous? Just add a pulley, tune and/or setup for E85. You'll have that extra kick when you want it. Tuning for compound power adders is tricky and you're at the mercy of however good your tuner is. Adding more boost to the stock setup is much easier to tune for.
Now we're talking Corsairs, my all time favorite. Yes when Goodyear built the F2G's with the corncob R4360, that was an impressive final act in the lineage. There are only 2 left. One is a museum in Seattle and 1 is owned by Walmart founder Sam Waltons grandson right here in Arkansas. I have yet...
Its been stated before that this current version of the GT500 is only a 3 year run, 20-22 model years. Somewhere I remember a Ford exec even stating that. Thats why you're seeing this upcoming special edition. Who knows if there will be another GT500. Ill bet this is the last of the supercharged...
Congrats on the order! You'll love it. I understand what you mean on the color thing. Ive never had a problem picking out a color on a new car or truck I wanted until this GT500 came along. I kept bouncing around over the blues and it didnt help that Ford had 3 of them. I know it may be a wait...
That does look nice. I think whenever I mod my GT500, I may go with Livernois for their 93 tune and maybe a pulley at some point. They have a great rep, been around a long time, and work with Ford a lot. For now Im plenty happy with it stock though
No one knows yet for sure but I was watching VINs of new cars delivered on Car Gurus, Auto Trader, etc. and you can see by the last 4 digits roughly how far along Ford is on the 21 build quantity. Ive seen a couple in the low 4000s, that were just delivered to dealers, so they might make 4500...
The C8 unit is a transaxle design, a lot different than the 7 speed version the GT500 got. Our trans is bolted up right behind the engine like a conventional transmission. The transmission in the last few generation corvettes is NOT behind the engine but bolted to the differential instead. A...
Certainly looks like it. Thats not a 21 color. Maybe thats a preproduction unit or it could be a dealer ordered car and the only 21s that are being finished out are the track pack cars someone stated elsewhere.
Ok so if you want Grabber Blue, its gotta be a 22 then. You pretty much want the same car I got but different color. I wanted Antimatter Blue so I had to find a 21. Down here in the mid south, the markups are a lot more realistic than other parts of the country. I had several dealers around here...
Have you looked on any online car search websites to see if there is a 21 in the spec you want already out there and available? Unless you're after a really rare or unique color or options package, most likely there is a 21 out there or dealers will be getting a 22 model car to your spec without...
