6r80 with us shift controller burning up trans?

I didn't recently purchase it, but did recently get everything together, regardless, some of my symptoms remain after having put in a rebuilt trans, converter, AND, a valvebody from street smart Transmissions. It randomly doesn't shift out of first or shifts hard out of first into second. Random...

6r80 with us shift controller burning up trans?

Well I think this may be my problem, bad controller, I've burnt up an fti converter and my trans, sent converter in for warranty work, they said overdrive clutch and bearing was burnt, rebuilt the transmission, input shaft o-rings were melted off. Re installed newly rebuilt converter and...

I ask cause I just got mine driving, but I have built 98 cobra motor, comp cams 106460, 6r80 quick 6, and 373 gear, first gear is only usable if I need to tow a train! My 60ft is 2.2/13.52@103 with the draggy, but I don't have a stall yet. I'm thinking about taking out the 373 when I go to put...

Awesome , that's the info we all need, just found the flange for 99 bucks, so all in all the FRPP driveshaft is a bolt in option for the 6r80 swap. Thanks for the info.

Sounds good, are you running the FRPP driveshaft? If so did you have to get it cut down at all?

    04 6r80 swap cobra

Ok, I have my new driveshaft (frpp mg4602) and now I understand why I need the 03 cobra REAR DRIVESHAFT FLANGE, My 98 rear driveshaft flange doesn't have 1350 u joints but an 03 cobra does. The ford performance rear driveshaft flange does not have the recess in it for the pinion nut to sit in...

    04 6r80 swap cobra

Trying to clarify fitment of the driveshaft I just ordered, have the tranny in already with a stifflers crossmember, on my 98 gt with wheels on the ground I measured 55 3/8, the ford racing one i have coming is 56.29, so I'm assuming that the original poster swapped the rear joint to make it...

    04 6r80 swap cobra

I'm not sure which one that is, I have a 98 gt and its circular in shape, as opposed to the older type with u bolts. Sent from my SM-G960U using the svtperformance.com mobile app
