Baseball season ended a month and a half ago. Those DVD's just became available. Obviously you care. You were posting in all of the baseball threads giving us your awesome .2 cents on how the Yankees werent going to beat the Phillies. And here you are again clicking on a Yankees related thread.

You're complaining about the Yankees payroll while the Red Sox continue to spend spend spend to catch the Yankees.

What is their payroll? 170 million and climbing. One more big free agent signing like Lackey and they will catch the Yankees.

I don't think the Red Sox will excede 170 million or they will have to pay the luxury tax.

You're right, I think the payroll is about 165 million? 5 more and they have to pay that luxury tax. The Yankees had to pay 26 million in luxury tax. You know where that money goes? Into the greedy pockets of other teams owners. Almost all of the teams that recieved that money from the Yankees chose to not spend it on any players, hence most teams cutting back on payrolls after last year. Thats some bullcrap if you ask me. Everyone complains about the Yankees, and here they are distributing money to the small market teams ony to see them put no effort into building a team.

Yea, that is not right but it shouldn't surprise anyone. MLB should re-think this policy.
