161,478 miles of trouble free driving pleasure as of today. Only normal maintenance items such as Brakes, Filters, IAC and Water Pump. I bought it to drive and have fun. I did a lot of commuting from SE Virginia to MD when I worked out of town, so there are a lot of road miles. I'm not a racer, but like to take it through the RPMs and curves. These Cobras are very reliable...

Bringing this thread back from the dead for an update:

01/25/06:
the 01 - 28,000 - replaced a halfshaft at 12k and the clutch at 15k
the 99 - 18,000 - previous owner broke a piston at 7k and fully built the engine, so 10k on the current combo, 1500 on the rebuilt blower.

3.5 years later:

the 01 - 40,000 miles
Last week I drove it one day for over 175 miles. Something caught my eye and I looked down and saw 40,00x on the odometer and it made me think of this thread. Besides the halfshaft and clutch mentioned above, I also replaced yet another halfshaft around 30k. Earlier this year I removed the 3rd brake light flasher relay when it stopped working. I have yet to order a new one. Overall it has been a very good and very reliable car even with the drag racing I used to do with it and the road course action it occassionally saw over the past three years. Still a great car to drop the top and take for a spin. Needs a set of tires at the moment.

the 99 - 23,000 miles
In 3.5 years since the first post, I have replaced two motors, sold the blower, had the heads worked (again), changed cams, replaced the tranny, swapped gears, changed headers, upgraded the radiator, changed multiple bushings/bearings, changed clutch and flywheel, batteries, Lord knows how many pads/rotors/tires, removed the rear seat and trunk panels, installed a roll bar, installed harnesses, rewired the fuel pump controller, change fuel pumps multiple times, changed fuel tanks, multiple hoses and braided line, changed clutch cables, changed acclerator cables, modified the gas pedal, changed halfshafts, installed catch cans on engine and diff, installed diff cooler, removed the AC system, installed brake ducts, installed radiator guards and minor ducting, changed hoods, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. You get the picture. I am certain the list above is much longer. The car comes home from the track and goes up on jacks. The steering wheel is still stock.

53k on the car, 17k on the second engine. I fall in love w/ it every time I drive it!!!

Rolled over 80k a couple of weeks ago. No problems at all since the second engine went in w/ an '04 WAP short block. Oddly enough I've only driven it about 3k in the last year. :(

The eventual plan is to go forged!

Just hit 30,095 this afternoon:banana: It makes me sad, one year ago she was just under 24k. I try to keep the miles off but can't resist driving her.:burnout:

Bought my 99 in october 2008 with 87,000, just rolled past 100,000 last month. Shes still very strong putting down over 290hp to the wheels with light bolt ons.
