They probably see the neighbors kids playing in the yard.

Funny you say that because the original apbt would never harm a human, they are very dog agressive though. The human attacks didn't start till the mastiff and bulldog started getting crossed into the pitbull more and more often.

those dogs in the last pictures look like they need to eat.

Its called a conditioned dog, not one that needs to "Eat". Those dogs that the OP posted pictures of, some of them are so over done it isnt even funny. The pictures of the "dogs that need to eat" are what APBTs are supposed to look like.

I personally like the Bully style better due to them being Thicker, Muscular, short, big head, and stocky, also the bone on them!!! it's a lot thicker than the original APBT.

I also have one Blue boy that is a Watchdog APBT and he is thin, very lean, and ok Head I like him too!!!

My dogs function normal and very active, I walk them, run them, and play with them

I think the dogs are gorgeous. I myself can't have a big dog in my townhouse development, so this opens the door for me to be able to get the Pitt I've always wanted just in a smaller package. :)

This is an example of a real APBT, she breeds once every few years if that and puts ALOT of thought into a breeding, she does not breed just because the dog comes in heat. This dog is a champion and has been in multiple magazines and featured on websites :)

And she is a VERY athletic dog.

I don't know why people feel they need to say they aren't real APBT. I think EVERYONE knows that, but in my opinion the bullies look better & they're more popular. Pitbulls aren't a full bread dog to begin with right?

the dogs I committed on dont look "conditioned" like the pic you posted. The one pulling on big chain looks like crap and abused. The one above it I can see its ribs. The one you posted is beautiful though

Ok, here is the deal. Bullies stem from APBT, but the thing that makes all of us mad is that these people on most of their websites say things like, BIG, BULKY, MUSCULAR APBT when they are not, they are american bullies. I do have to give the OP props for at least advertising his dogs as that because most don't. I have had multiple breeders tell me their dogs are NOT bullies when in fact their dogs way 100+lbs.

If its a bully, call it a bully. NOT an American Pit Bull Terrier.

That is the thing.....I dont want another APBT. I like the look of the Bullies. Im not worried about competitions or bloodlines, otherwise I would go back to Boxers. But thanks for calling me an Idiot without knowing my motives.

So you want a dog that is unhealthy, will have hip problems. And will more than likely end up dying early? Looks like you've found your match then :rollseyes. You and the OP can go be friends and give your dogs steroids together and make them terribly short and stocky, and make the breed look even worse than its beginning to look.

Maybe for you psycho dog breeding people, its bad. I could care less if the dog dies early. Thats the beauty of dogs....YOU CAN BUY ANOTHER ONE. And its your OPINION that they are ugly. So you really need to shut up now, because you are making yourself look anal and thinking people should share your opinion on something that is someone else's choice anyway.

They are just DOGS. Yea, I like animals. I love dogs. There are some REALLY ugly pure bred dogs out there.

And you want to talk about unhealthy? My neighbor had a few champion Rottys.....2 died of breast cancer, 1 just DIED, and the others were in and out of the vets office for all kinds of different reasons. And they were from different breeders and not one cost less than $3k. So spew your shit somewhere else.

Not a pure bred dog, is that a joke? Take a look at this ped, Tudor's Dibo, ONLINE PEDIGREES :: [9] :: TUDOR'S DIBO (3XW)
probably the most influential foundation APBT in history. Many of the modern lines are based on Dibo. If you click on his ped to previous generations you will see that the ped goes back to the 1800's when they arrived in the USA where they were improved even more every generation. Show me a breed more pure than that, where every dog in the ped is documented and known to the mid 1800's? Bred for gameness, work and human bond. not size, color and build, which is what ruins breeds genetically and turns them into disease infested, human aggressive, mutant show dogs with very short life spans, a la english bulldog.

Now you see why some people get upset with the breed being ruined by these child eating fat mutant currs? It's not the other way around, the real APBT were and are pure, healthy and sound of mind with ABSOLUTELY NO HUMAN AGGRESSION through literally 2 centuries of selection. Some are very dog and animal aggressive no doubt, that's what they were made for after all. But they also excell in other areas above other breeds becasue of their no quit attitude, intelligence, loyalty and over all great temperment. Look at Petey from the little Rascals, a genius TV dog sired by a great game dog of the time, who could film with cats and ducks on the set.

Back then there were no human attacks, I wonder why? Becasue the breeders stayed true to the breed and ignorant breeders bred and ruined other breeds until the pits got popular with the show crowd in the late 70's, unfortunately beginning the downward spiral of the breed. It won't be long until an American cannot own any bully looking breed, I wonder why.

That is EXACTLY what I am talking about. NO reputable breeder will EVER charge you more than $500 for a dog, period. The people that are charging thousands are just in it for the money and could care LESS about their dogs, which ends in unhealthy, more than likely inbred dogs. And as far as us being psycho dog breeding people. I do NOT breed nor will I ever breed. It costs thousands to take care of a litter of puppies, also 24/7 care, I do not have time for that at all. I leave it to the professionals. There are not many reputable breeders out there, most just breed have puppies and rip people off for unhealthy dogs, I have NEVER to this day seen a "breeder" do health/hip testing on a bully, because they would more than likely fail and have hip dysplasia. Most breeders, like this one probably will, is once the dogs have the puppies, will stick them all in one crate, and let mom take care of them and will probably not see a vet more than once. Its easy if you do it that way, and who cares about doing it the right way, they are just dogs and will die eventually, right? :nonono:

while i DO kinda agree, keep in mind that pretty much all breeds of dogs are created from cross breeding.

Cats too, take a look at the A1 Savannah. Its a serval and a housecat if I remember correctly. Then the blood like becomes pure bred from the cross and now they cost 20K dollars.

Breeds start somewhere. They dont just pop out of a poodle. So technically all dogs are muts. They may be pure bred muts, but they are still muts.

Thats right....they will die anyway. I have never kept a dog longer than a couple years. Then I find them another home, and get a new one. Thats just what I do. Im not saying you should get these dogs to keep for a lifetime and im not saying they would even last that long, but for what I want, there isnt anything wrong with it. But your morality on the subject is different and that is fine.

But dont tell me im WRONG for it. That's like saying im WRONG for not believing what YOU believe. It's all in what youre looking for.

FYI for queenofhearts....

History/Origin:
His ancestors were brought to the United States in the mid - 1800's by Boston-Irish immigrants. Originally bred from a variety of bulldogs and terriers, American breeders increased his weight and gave him a more powerful head. A forbearer to the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, they were originally bred to be a fighting dog. Bull baiting was banned in England in 1835 and these dogs are no longer being bred to fight. There is some complication in registries of this breed. The AKC considers the American Staffordshire Terrier as separate and distinct from the American Pit Bull Terrier, yet the UKC will register both as American Pit Bull Terriers (APBTs).

See? They created this breed we know today as APBT by cross breeding. So pure bred muts. But now that american breeders are creating a new breed they are screwing it up? Your logic escapes me.

As stated by me before, of course it pisses me off that they are creating over done monsters, but my main thing is 99% of these "breeders" classify them as APBT and they are not, which is why the American Bully Kennel Club was created. So that these bullies can go to their own registry and people can stop making money by calling them american pit bull terriers.

And these "bullies" some are pretty and well done, but at least 80% of them are screwed up, they have easty westy feet, messed up shoulders, and will have hip dysplacia. I understand all breeds come from somewhere, but these dogs were game bred dogs in the beginning and were athletic and lean. Now they are just creating monsters that will have health issues.

What would you do if you bought one of these dogs and in a year it couldn't walk because it had messed up hips and was way too over weight. Would you just give it to someone or put it to sleep? If someone actually cares about their dogs, I would assume the surgery to correct that would be at LEAST $5,000. I would rather have a dog that would live a long healthy life than some mixed dog that will have problems very shortly after its born. Just my opinion, but its the truth.

Now this post I completely agree with....

I wouldnt want to put down a dog I am attached to, but sometimes you have to. But for me surgery and vet bills are not a problem due to the fact that my ex's dad was a vet (though now a cosmetic surgeon) and takes care of all my animals shots and surgeries free of charge. Makes it nice. My sister ran over one of my boxers one time and it broke 2 legs and had massive abrasions....I didnt pay a dime.

Im not saying that everyone has the benefit of this luxury, but for me, it works out nicely. But yes, a lot of the bullies are a bit overdone.
