I believe the stock belt will fit. I'm using the stock belt with my 2.90" RR pulley with no problems, but double-check since I am also using the Billetflow idler set.

Stock belt size is 75". SFPHQ recommends using a 75" for stock pulley and 3.4. Use 74.5" for 3.2 and 3.1 pulley.

Thanks for the helpful link. It would have been better if they included sizes for pulley/idler combos as well. So keep in mind the belt size is also affected by whether or not you're using an idler set.

The link, of course, is for Gatorback belts. Never use a Gatorback belt with a Reichard Racing Ultra-Grip pulley. It will shread very quickly. Most already know this, of course. I'm just posting a reminder.

I know I read it somewhere but I can't find it. Is it safe to run a 3.2 pulley with no tune? has any one else ran this pulley with stock tune? If so what power gains were made vs. the stock pulley?
TIA

Sorry!
Found it.
Would still like to hear someone who did this, and their gains.
Thanks,
KK

I'm running a PulleyBoys 3.2" pulley with a 74.5" Gatorback belt with the stock tune (no chip). I dynoed the car this past Saturday and made 413 Hp and 409 Ft.Lbs of torque. I basically have the pulley, exhaust and CAI. I'm happy with the numbers. The car goes pig rich after about 4500 rpm. I like it that way....very safe. I'll try and post the chart later tonight. Most stock Cobras dyno at 370 RWHP......

Thanks Hicompression,

I plan to get a 100% stock (excluding silencer) dyno this weekend to get a baseline. Then start with the 3.2 pulley (no tune). I have a lot of modding I want to do so I don't want to waste the money on a tune this early. Plus my car only has a little over 2000 miles so staying somewhat warranty friendly is a plus at least until I get some more miles racked up to make sure all is well. Will post #s after dyno.

BTW: Thanks to all who read, and did not jump my s**t for asking something that has been covered numerous times.

I ran the 3.2 with no chip for about 7000 miles with no issues. It dyno'd 444/423 SAE with cat-back and cai, it was on the lean side, but seemed to run safe. I have sense added the predator pulley tune and picked up about 25ft/lb of torque and I am now running rich, but hopefully that will all changed when the 2.93 goes on in the spring.

I just had a 3.1 installed and used a gatorback 74.5 belt

Dyno showed no slippage at all.

That's a lot of HP for just a 3.2" pulley, cat-back, and CAI.... Typically those numbers are seen with a 2.93 pulley and chip. WTF?

steeda told me the stock belt would be fine.
I just figured 1/2 inch smaller pulley 1/2 smaller belt!

Yeah I thought so too. On my last dyno it pulled 440/440 SAE with the pulley tune. I have measured the pulley to make sure it was 3.2 inches. I can't wait to see what the 2.93 will do, probably only increase torque 20 to 30ft/lbs. Should be fun anyway.
