Update:

Looks good so far guys. I will be posting up info within the next 2-3 weeks on the shop that will be doing the work along with price quotes. Allen who was going to do a mock up on CAD pulled the plug due to family emergency. He won't have time any time soon to do the work and it's understandable. I will have to look for someone else that can do a CAD mock up for version 2 & 3.

Hopefully I can cut a deal & won't have to pay for the Mold as a shop offered to keep the mold for insurance until it was paid off by selling extra cover pieces over the one's to be paid for initially from the "sign up list".

If things go as planned there will be 2 variations, a reproduction of the original, and a reproduction of the original (you get to choose) with added features for the open track racers.
So exactly what will the open track version differences be? I can see that this might act as a diffuser to keep air from being caught in the rear bumper. I might be interested if it's actually functional.

Thanks for the update:banana: My earlier offer to help out still stands.

The track version will have air dams like some of the Viper Cars, STI's and most Exotic Road Endurance cars. These air damns tunnel the exiting air and help smooth things out (amongst other benefits) and with the proper wing it will help create vector downforce needed at high speeds. You can't just put the Air Dams in any place to be functional and optimal. It must first be tested in a wind tunnel (too expensive) or next best thing, CAD. I had a guy that I was going to work with but he's out of the project for family reason and now I need to find someone else that can mock it up on CAD.

Some examples of diffusers so you can get an idea:
(of course ours will follow the contours of the sn95 body lines & won't look ricey)

"GAS TANK COVER"
Sign Up List

There are no price quotes just yet. Anyone can sign on right now (no deposit required) and as soon as I get price quotes I will "officially open" the list (deposit required at this point) & you can either stay and pay the deposit or drop off. Once the list is "officially closed" (payment on rest of balance required at this point) and production started there might not be a chance for anyone else to sign up again (I will post on how long the list will be open & when it will close). Payment(s) will be handled thourgh PayPal and will also require the 3% of the price quote to cover the PayPal Fee's (& maybe USPS Money Orders - additional 3% not required here). Just to let you guys know there won't be that many produced (give or take 2-3 over the sign up members list). It will be a very limited quantity. If things go as planned there will be 2 variations, a reproduction of the original, and a reproduction of the original (you get to choose) with added features for the open track racers. I will post pictures once everything has been covered (price per piece, shipping, etc.). Please note that deposits will be non-refundable (if the project hits a brick wall & nothing is produced, everyone will get their deposits back).

Please No Flakes. Once you are in it, you are in it to win it!

may I make a suggestion, collect money up front, I can vouture that 9 out of 10 will back out!!! I only say this because I had a firm list of 20+ guys ready to buy some custom spoilers and 18 of them backed out when it was time to pay up. Collect money now and you'll be safe.

Tampa Racing sells them $425 +$50 shipping www.tamparacing.com

Even though they call it a "diffuser".........this really ain't radical enough to do anything for our cars. I have shown these pics to several hardcore racers and they all say that it lacks underneath paneling under the car and it needs to have bigger side-flanges, more like the viper pics and the Ford GT has. But, if someone wants to pay $425 for something that looks good, but probably does no harm nor any good, go ahead and buy it.

thats probably true! but I live close to roadzombie, and infact, if at all possible roadzombie, i'd like to tag along to see the mold or whatever, if at all possible.

either way, i'll pick up my piece in person, with cold hard cash. lol.

While I agree with you, who is really willing to pay for a part without seeing the final product?

+1 I was one of those that paid for the T1!

Since the gas tank cover (V1) will be reproduced as an exact copy of the CDC Aeroshield and everyone that has signed on knows and has seen pic's (will take better pic's & post) of what it will and does look like a deposit will be taken once price quotes have been set. Then those that want to stay & get the cover will pay the deposit and those that don't can drop off. As far as V1 & V2 of the cover (deffuser & rear exit exaust cover) I will most likely absorb much of the cost assosiated with that project.

Looks ok but it does seem unfinished....those are razor sharp!

I'm in for sure as long as it ends up looking like this one

Might not have time for field trips considering the shop is so busy and even I have to wait 2 more weeks to talk to the boss there, but yeah man if possible you can come.

The final product will be the exact same piece of the CDC Aeroshield. If you are speaking of the Cover with Deffuser and rear exit that I understand.

would love to see it with the diffuser and for a decent price.

DTHEO.. Do you still have some of these wings leftover?? PM me.

Will try to keep the price as low as possible.
