I have black with smoked, and I love em. Cant see shit at night, but it looks good. Go with smoked.

Off topic, what have you guys tieh smoked lights done to improve lighting at night? Are there brighter bulbs we can use, or does it not really matter? I always drive with the fogs on at night because the visibility is so bad.

that looks sweet thanks for the pics are your taillights night shade

No. I just have a 20% vinyl tint that was cut to fit. I would recommend that because it's not permanent so if I ever get a ticket for it it won't be a big deal. And it looks good and was easy to do. It was a little pricey though at like 50 bucks altogether. Night shads look good too, but for this I didn't even have to remove the lights.

Those asking about brightness, I use silverstars because one of the bulbs that came in the BOI headlights (which I never touched) shattered and made the lens all foggy (and they wouldn't replace BTW). Now one doesn't light up as bright as the other. Lighting is bearable. I use my high beams if it gets really dark.

BOI doesn't replace s hit. I just realized that for you guys who need your high beams on it sucks that the high beams turn off the fogs. =O

I didn't know that. Interesting. I only use my high beams when going through some hilled areas in the middle of the night where there are no street lights.

Yeah, I usually just leave the regular lights on because then I get them and the fogs. If the highs are on, the fogs go off.

Actually I just tested it and my fogs do not turn off with high beams on. I did the fog light rewire mod so they work on the switch independent of everything else

I did clear on my 03 cobra and it looked good, but a month later switched to the smoked and they blew the clear ones away.

If I remember right it's actually illegal to have foglights on with the high beams, but whatever. How many people have really gotten a ticket for that. Anywho, which way did you rewire the headlights. Again, if I remember right (sorry, I'm not sober), there are two ways, one way of just switching two wires, and one where some cutting/soldering has to be done. I ask because I want to the the foglight mod, but I'd like my fogs to stay on with the highbeams.

Here it is technically illegal to have your fog lights on without the headlights and I wouldn't be surprised if it was illegal to have your high beams and fogs. I did the cutting method, but there was no soldering. Just some butt connectors and electrical tape. My fogs are on all the time.

as much as i like OEM look, i have to admit that the smoked headlights, such as what the 2001 cobras came with, look SWEET!

LMR used to carry the exact same type of lens that were the smoked lens put on the 2001's for our SN95's, but i guess they are either out of stock, or don't carry them anymore.

Anyone have these?? (Clean lens with black housing)
http://www.americanmuscle.com/94fomueuclwi.html

I know this has been covered before but just checking on these particularly. It seems like a nice compromise between the clear/smoked lights with the benefit of being able to see at night.

I like the level of smoked on those, just can't get around the dish type look in the housing.

They are very cheap looking, but don't look that bad they have a dark cutout around them as you see and blacked out side markers. They are nice looking headlights if the quality was better they would be tits. IMO blue oval smoked are one of the nicest looking headlights for our cars and look the best..
