I think I am going to need a full background on the plot before I see it. You can't just up and create a new monster and not have an explanation for it before people are going to be expected to go view the movie.

It looks like a Rancor off of SW: Return of the Jedi.

That IS NOT the Cloverfield monster. Went to the ATL premier last night(won tickets from a local radio station) and the monster looks nothing like that. No Rancor elements at all. As far as the movie goes, it was pretty good. Kinda short at only an hour and a half. I liked it.

Well, I guess I won't be seeing it. I usually don't pay $8 a ticket for a movie that is shorter than two hours long. In some cases I will make an exception. This one as of now is not an exception.

I've seen like 2-4 different threads showing the alleged Cloverfield monster. Considering the lengths they're going with their marketing, I wouldn't be surprised one bit if they leaked a bunch of fake drawings to create more buzz and speculation.

JJ Abrams is one of the producers for the movie. He also does the tv show LOST. He's all about generating hype and buzz.

The whole cam-cording thing is unoriginal too. Since Blair Witch, I do not think that any one else should attempt to make a movie in this fashion. They threw away the mold when they made that movie, and to try and do anything that half way resembles that can only be viewed as weak and non creative IMO.

I'm like you. With the way they speed to video stores I wait until they come out on video UNLESS they are really great. That just does not happen to often.

Also, the statue of liberty head is to big. Who is in charge of their scaling? Lady liberty's mouth is only 3 feet wide. By the looks of it in the trailer it is as wide as a damn car is long. Just something I noticed.

i'm still waiting on rambo...can't go wrong with rambo.

You can definitely go wrong with Rambo, that ****er has a machine gun mounted on his walker. Maybe it's just me but a 60 year old, wrinkly action here just doesn't do it for me. Stallone should be doing AARP commercials and not action movies. The last Rocky just plain sucked and he just doesn't work in these types of roles anymore. Then again, whatever floats your boat.
