That scared the hell out of me when the black one launched.

Me too, I was taking the footage and it made me jump when it launched! :D

I was there with the red Mach that won the shootout. It was a good time and met a lot of cool people.

That's the car that belongs to cmylxgo on here.. a few months ago everyone was ripping on it (and a few stuck up for him) since it was an auto. Pretty quick for a stock motor car with a few bolt-on's :D

Congrats Corey!

Awesome! Where in nj are you? I'd love to ride in a blown mach.

i live in central jersey.. hillsborough. his mach is put away for now and he actually has it apart toying with it, said there was something wasnt right with it, so its not running now. he got it in the 12's real quick, i think just dr's and intake maybe  cant remember exact mods at the time. either way, i was very impressed with the car even in stock form. ford really did well with it.

It scared my video man too...notice the video jerk on launch? That car launched hard and was in the high 1.5s. I ran a 1.58 60ft with stock OEM suspension. As for the comment about sleeping at the tree...well...we wern't racing anyone...so why does it matter? We were all looking to get the cars to launch their best.

Cool vid AND cool cars! BUT, they aren't the fastest mach's are they??? Makes me feel GREAT about my 2grand in mods to be faster than the fastest mach 1, that's for sure! Anyway, didn't mean to sound as flaming, but either way, cool vid and cool cars! They run good.

To each their own...you also have to remember the 5grand differnce in price too. I've got less than 2 grand into performance mods too :D

As for the fastest Mach's...I am sure there are faster ones out there. I know Lidio from Alternative Auto with his KB Auto Mach 1 went 10.8 @ 13x with his.

eh, the price argument wasn't really relative (i got mine for 24g's anyway on a misprint in a sale ad, they had to give it to me), I was just stating that because one was supercharged adn the other turbo (the one with nitrous prob. didn't have much money wrapped up into it compared to the other two).
I agree to each their own, I was just expecting more since they are so close to the cobra power plant  .

Well...the MAJOR downside to the Mach vs. the Cobra is the shortblock. I think I am already pushing my sh!t too far. I would love to run 20psi on mine...I have the pulley :coolman: but don't want to scrap the motor just yet. The Turbo Mach had a built short block but had problems with his Turbo...it was smoked. He has gone 131mph before. I agree for a small investment you can make those Cobras fly. I was sooo close to getting a Cobra instead of the Mach. I had my Mach on order for 8 months and then the dealer started to jack me around. I set out to find a Mach with a Auto in stock. I almost gave up and bought a Cobra...but at the last minute I found my baby :)

How much more can you expect?? 11.0 aint bad!! I'm sure there is more to be had from these cars, especially if the one has a built motor. I don't know if anyone is replacing the pistons (weak point), but I'm sure that would help as well.

Let's just not start the mach vs. cobra war again. Bada** cars, each own the street in their own way! :pepper:

I agree with everything you said, and I'm really not trying to flame, I already said they are sweet cars. I just figured there would be some faster machs, with built blocks and all out there by now  . Oh, and I'm sure there is too  .

BTW...2 days after the shootout I went 10.96 @ 125mph. Yes...I do not want to start a Cobra vs. Mach war. It just seems that I have to always defend my decession thats all.

Well, the mach's are already behind the 8-ball for forced-induction modability, so give us a little more time. Sure, forged blocks are out there, but after that chunk of change, a reprieve(sp) is necessary before iintense mods. We're catching up, be sure of it:D

My problem is I have two blown Mustangs to maintain. My 2v car has a built shortblock...when I pulled it a month ago to do some head work I seriously thought about swapping short blocks with the Mach
