Papi is stock displacement with a 2300 and he beat the shit out of a gt500 similar to what you are talking about. Plenty of other vids similar if you look. It isn't close, bro. Maybe you can change the bet to keep it within 3 lengths.
I can find other videos like this as well. At the end the day this could go either way just like my gt500 vs your ZR1 once turned all the way up.

I will say this has turned more into an interesting thread versus an informative one. @M122GT500 you wanted peoples opinions and thoughts on what it would take to beat the ZR-1. So I tagged the man I know who has a built ZL-1 and a built ZR-1. @Klaus He can give you first hand knowledge on what it would take, not only that he not only races his ZR-1 but he’s got videos of him doing so. I can’t vouch for a lot of members on her racing their cars because generally this is an informative website, and not specific to roll racing. Truth be told a lot of people on here don’t like roll racing. I’ll say this much I’ve raced my bestfriend C7 Z06 with my 2013 GT500. Both stock besides my Corsa exhaust. We were neck and neck 2/3 races and the last one I nudged him out. I’ve personally only ever raced a C6 ZR-1 on my 2012 R1. He said he had a pulley and exhaust and made around 840ish? However he was not even 5 feet behind me the entire race and about 160 or so he was coming up quick to pass me.
With that being said I race my cars, whether that be street or strip. I’ll be honest and say the fastest car I’ve ever had only made around 740ish RWHP. Quite frankly the way my bank is set up I don’t have it like that to build a 1,000HP car. So I can’t touch to much onto it other than the fact most corvettes just do great power to weight wise. I do agree at the end of the day it’s a drivers race. Spinning ain’t winning, and if you miss a shift that’s a wrap. Even slow shifting can cost you a race. So many factors go into racing, any scenario can happen. On paper so many things can not be what they appear. Being a Mustang guy I hope you hold him off. However at the end of it all I think both of those cars are gonna do great. Be safe, and have fun. That’s what it’s all about.

Well I’m not going to lie to you. My opinion a ZR1 with the build you described may be almost unbeatable with a blower on your car.

I'm a diehard GT500 guy and I know theirs better platforms out there than my S197 Shelby, but I like what I like so I stick with it, and hey it might be a good race between you and your friends ZR1, all we're saying is, don't suprised if he walks your ass. Either way I hope you win.
