Took 1st Place in the 1992-2023 Ford Mustang Class. Had to battle Mother Nature with rain at 6am and 9am this morning though, but nothing a few drying towels can handle.

My lady was hungover on the couch most of Saturday so after I finished washing the Z06, I went out looking for food. Ended up at the local Saturday night car show. I used to avoid it cuz it used to be the same geezers week after week, but the show has really blown up over the last two summers. Anyway, grabbed a couple coldies and strolled the show.

After about 45min, I decided to blast the 5min home and see if the old lady wanted to come for food. She declined so I chose to take the Cobra back to the show. Barely got out of it before a couple young guys (18-20) came flocking over with their phones out. "Dude I think that's a Terminator." I was astonished that they knew what it was considering the world we live in is full of C8s, Hellcats, and Supras; why would punks care about a rickety old Mustang anymore? Nonetheless, I lingered 25-feet away while they did laps around the car taking pics of the motor, brakes, interior...etc. Second time this has happened this year. Gives me hope for the future. lol

You do Iola with your Cobra ever? When I lived up there I loved going to that show. So many cars to look at, and the best fried cheese curds I've ever had.

The last couple meets I've been to we've had a bunch of Cobras roll in together. It's funny to watch the crowd's response as they realize what's rolling through. After we park you can watch the crowd of people move down the row to see the cars. And this is with Vettes, Lambos, etc. parked a few aisles over.

I still think the best one was when my son convinced to me to go to a meet with him a few years ago. It was an import meet so I wasn't really into it, but he wanted me to go so I did. He was leading and I lost track of how many times I heard "dude, I think that's a Terminator". When we rolled by the GTR's everyone stopped looking at them and watched me drive by.
