I was just quoted $400 annually for a 40k agreed upon value of my 96 with safeco. That was based on 5k miles annually though. I also have my 3 other cars with them

I have Haggerty
Agreed upon value of $75,000
No restrictions
I also pay extra on my policy for the added, "I get to keep car if it's totaled. I do not have to buy back. I get my check for $75k and keep the car"

I was 100% honest with the power level and current mods and had to provide a picture of the engine bay to confirm it had the OEM blower.

I have a $65K policy with Haggerty. They know it is a race car. They know it is always garaged and/or trailered to Drag Strips for race weekend. It will still be covered if I wreak it during a race.
I pay $250 per year.
I should up the coverage amount, because there is no way I could duplicate that car today for that kind of money.

Well....alot more than what im paying thru StateFarm. The car has been appraised at 150K so I imagine the coverage of the car is the main point. I received quotes of 2,200 for full coverage/year from both. I have a clean driving record w/0 points. More than likely this should come down as the car is barely driven (5 months out of the year), so collision wont be necessary for the time its parked in storage......I hope. Im leaning torwards haggerty.

Thanks for sharing this info! Was the price increase for any particular reason or the premium being increased just because they decided to raise?

I used to drive corvetttes and was insured through the corvette museum. Rates were awesome, and they insure my Gt500. I pay about $450 a year for 45k agreed value all options, and up to 3k miles per year allowance. Collector & Classic Car Insurance | NCM Insurance

I feel like the price increases from Hagerty were due to them getting into more of the car culture market- online stuff, the magazine, the advertising at lots of show/auctions, etc. All that stuff cost them money which got passed to consumers.

Grundy has less frills in comparison. They are half of what I was paying for Hagerty for the Cobra.
