Thats a stand up guy. Not the thief, the youtube guy. Other dude was a little high on pills and some beer. Not an excuse. That just took away his ability to give enough of a **** to not be a thief.
This vid popped up in my YouTube feed earlier today and I watched it. Hate the thief, I don't care...there is no excuse.

Well worth the time to watch the whole video, guys. My wife and I just watched it. Hats off to the guy for putting in that effort to find the thief. Great detective. IMO when he gave the thief back the money, he did it more for the thief's wife who was obviously devastated by what her husband did.

Yes. And he got + 3 million views so far on this video. The thief's face is all over the video. Not good for him. It was the right move to forgive him. His youtube subscribers will respect that and it makes him come out as merciful.
I know a guy who's had two Trackhawks stolen. He is now on his third one. He needs to buy Apple AirTags like this guy. Might be worth it.

Perp never said he was down on his luck. He said he was on pain meds and it made the situation to tempting. WD got his stuff back. He got the guy to agree to use his mug on YouTube. He is selling the cabin and leaving the area. Officer's even said he was a bigger man for his action. WD will make out on this deal.
