Hi everyone, this post will be kind of long but i feel its important to give all of the info.
2013 GT500, NSR cams, RXT clutch, sticky tire
Car has been sitting a few months from winter. Fast forward to Saturday morning and I just put new Bias ply ET street pros on my car to try. I went to do some data logging so i did a 2nd gear burnout down my driveway to heat the tires and check contact patch. everything looked good, did a couple pulls and parked it for a few hours.
A couple hours later I went to data log some more pulls. I did a 2nd gear standing burnout and could tell there was some clutch slip. I went to make some pulls and they seemed fine. I compared my logs with RPM and MPH to known previous logs and they matched so I figured the clutch held fine. when parking in the garage I could definitely smell clutch.
fast forward 24 hours I go to pull the car out of the garage and the release is all of the way at the end of the pedal, definitely way different then normal. after warm up I pegged the throttle in 5th gear, clutch held for about 3 seconds and then started slipping bad.
has anyone experienced this? i cant believe this clutch would die like that. Is there another area I can look? possible bad TOB, or clutch spring screwing things up? the breaks feel fine so i dont think there is air in the line and would this be a symptom anyway?
Thanks,
