Hey everyone. So I'm reaching out here before I take it into Ford as it has warranty. The reason I'm reaching out here is because the issue is happening at 120+mph 3rd and 4th gear pulls and I know Ford techs wont be able to test at those speeds. Car has bone stock suspension when its started doing this recently. It wobbles pretty bad side to side that I let out in fear of losing control. It was suggested that I check the rear lower control arm bushings for cracking which I did and which were in fact cracked. I replaced upper and lower control arms for BMR, tested, and same issue. I recorded it this time tho. If you check the link, you can see the G meter go side to side pretty bad. I'm thinking something in the front is the culprit but I'm looking for any direction to look next. Let me know what you guys think. Thank you.

Have you checked your tires and rims for true and run-out? Alignment? Driveshaft?
Tires and trims are good. Car has 29k miles. Alignment good and driveshaft good. Nothing shakes or vibrates, it's a side to side sway almost like if you shift hard and accidentally pull the wheel too hard and then have to recover.

Unfortunately with tires being as expensive as they are, it's not that easy to just switch tires. Especially when they are practically new.
Mine would sway back and forth violently. Others with GT500s and Vettes had the same issue. I love Michillins, but not on my GT500. they had issues. I got a second set, same issue not quite as bad. Then I bagged the Michelins and the car is rock solid stable.

IF you can't go out and buy tires do you have a buddy with a different wheel and tire combo you could try so you can see?

I bet it's the tires. I just had the same problem with Michelin's on my Excursion...at 85mph, not 120mph.

I put in a call to Michelin since I've only had them since april and not even 4k miles. They opened up a case and might possibly get them switched out for the pilot sport 4s. We will see.
I've wondered why no one has contacted Michelin that have this issue. Let us know how it turns out or their theory as to what is going on.

They have.

It's not every car. Tires have a variance of run out that is acceptable. At 120mph, if you're at the top end of the variance, it'll shake like a heart shaped bed in Vegas after a few quarters are thrown in.

I've seen a few complaints about "death wobble", but never have seen a resolution or an explanation by Michelin, or if they took care of it. I've had a few sets of Michelins on my car without these issues. I'm just curious what could cause it.

Being at the very top of the allowable variance.
