I wonder if this will increase the value of the 2005/2006 Ford GT? I know my urge to have one is even higher now. My wallet still is laughing though.
If I were to ever buy one (not likely) Id want it set up the way Ken Miles had his set. If the movie was to be believed, Ken Miles was nearly as (possibly just as) important on the legacy Carroll Shelby built. The thing about kit GT40s is that guys that will pay top dollar for them want exact replicas (minus the space frame). No "upgrades", etc., to the car. 427 FE blocks are 'spensive....ZF transaxles are 'spensive....
And if you have a Gurney bubble, they eat that up.
Nick, how did everyone from work like the outing Sunday ?
how many people showed up ?
did you have to reserve seating with the theater ?
You know what, Nick. You seem like a good guy.
I'll have a beer with you anytime.
Phil Remington was just as important as any of them, he was the reason they could change the brakes quickly.
I remember in 1 interview where Carroll Shelby said a GT40 with a full fuel load was around 4k lbs. which is why they kept killing the brakes.
