Ok, thanks. Never happy about taking the Shelby to the dealer...
Had mine done last week. 1/2 hour in and out. Easy Peasy.
I got the recall notice for passenger side air bag about 15 times this last year. Calls and letters. Ford sent a repair tech to my home and fixed it in about 35 minutes. Free of charge to me. I am well pleased because I would have never carried it in to be “test driven” by the dealer. I live in gainesville GA. If you call ford and request, Im sure they will do it for any owner. They came out and did mine on 10/21/2019. I read somewhere that someone was worried about them messing up the Carroll Shelby signature trim. They dont even touch it. They remove the glove box and access it from there.I did a search to see what I could find about the passenger side air bag recall and didn't come up with anything other than 1 post. I received a letter from Ford a few months ago and yesterday I received notice that the parts are in and I can schedule an appointment. Wondering, anyone else go through this? If so, what is the length of time it takes for them to swap it out? I did have my driver's side replaced and it was taken care of in about 15 minutes with perfect results. My car is a 13 DIB, stripe delete, glass roof and all options car with appx 4K on the odometer.
They dont even touch the dash. Go in under that thru the glove box. What does Ford do if your dash has a Carroll Shelby signature?

Man I would make them fix that for sure...My OCD could not handle it.A friend just had the passenger side airbag recall accomplished on his 2013 GT Premium and has been complaining about the fit and fair of the airbag door in the dash. He also says that with light pressure the door will pop open now.
In the last three pics there looks like a shallow dent in the lower door too, near the upper edge a few inches from the LH side.

He's making that happen. Hope this doesn't happen to one with a Carroll Shelby signature!Man I would make them fix that for sure...My OCD could not handle it.
Interesting that post # 66 had work done @ his house on Ford's dime, didn't know they did that..
Yeah, its great. Just call the one of the many Ford airbag postcards they send and tell them you want yours done at your house if you want. One of the ones cards I recieved actually says they come right to your house for specialty Mustangs: Boss 302, Shelby, Bullitt's. It takes some time from making the appt until they coordinate with a local dealer (month or so), but they make it happen. They asked for my availability and gave them a day I was working from home. They called a few days before to confirm the date and time frame. They were right at my house at 1pm as promised.
Yep. The tech that came and did mine said they had to start going mobil for the recall, because (and I quote him) “none of you shelby guys will bring your cars in for this repair!”I haven't had the passenger side done yet, may have 8 or 12 mailing reminders by now. I've also had several phone calls, one yesterday, which are starting to annoy me. I tried to tell the women on the phone that I'll get to it, it doesn't get driven much, so I don't see it as an issue. The fact that it took years to get the parts for the driver side, tells me how much of a rush item it was.
