I am reading an aem boost gauge and it tops out at 8 very close to redline, but also the previous owner gave me a dyno sheet. As for the motor, it’s an mmr800 short block, patriot stage 2 heads, cms stage 2.5 blower cam.

Does the dyno sheet show the boost? At 6500 its most likely making more than the 8psi that you're seeing at 5800rpm.

What I'm getting at is there is something wrong with your setup. You're losing boost somewhere or you have extreme belt slip. You should be making 13-14psi with that pulley. Put a larger pulley on it and see if it makes the same boost.
I was confused on that as well, I'll have to measure the pulley and verify that it is a 3.2 cause I thought I should be making more boost for such a small pulley. Either that or I get a huge boost leak or major belt slip

Did this method ever work?

tried to put the pulley on this weekend but it's spaced wrong, it's spaced out roughly a 1/4" further from the blower than my other pullies. I'm going to have to call them later when they open (theyre west coast, Im east coast).

I have a lot of hope for this thing though. My Reichard Racing non slip (that has the grooves cut across it) the rubs are almost slick in between the cuts. This Griptec pulley the whole thing is textured.
