One piece and designed like that from the start. To claim Dodge is legit with tacked on fender flares, because of the New Edge...is beyond stupid.

To claim they are "not legit" because of similar aftermarket parts is beyond stupid.

My point remains, using "fender arches" to increase wheel fitment on OEM cars is a common design solution.

RS4 comes to mind as well.

Widebody Hellcat

As you can see, the body is different. It's not just a narrow body with ebay bushwakers glued on.

They both have a similar look. It’s not identical but the transition is similar.

I think Ford did a better job at it, but Dodge’s design still looks good to me.

I don’t see anyone claiming what you stated in your post.

@Corbic did. Then he has gone on to post pics of other cars with factory flared fenders to further legitimize calling the HC a widebody.

He is not saying that “dodge is legit because of new edge”... He is saying that Dodge’s job is legit on its own. He then offers some examples of similar applications on different vehicles.

That is all.

Wide body is open to interpretation.

Things that 10 years ago we used to call Rice lol

IMHO, the ZL1LE, ZR1, and upcoming 2020 GT500 although functional look like they hit every ugly spoiler in the JC Whitney catalog. I'll have to see a GT500 in person before I'd order. The GT350 is so much cleaner.

Right...but that hardly adds up to $6k.

See below. 15" front rotors. If anyone is interested I can make you a deal on my 16 narrow body?????? It's been 10.6 with just a drag radial.

Your missing a lot apparently.

6k is - custom fenders and quarter panels (they are a different cut radius underneath) with body extensions (flares)

3-way adjustable Bilstien Suspension

Upgraded Brakes

20x11 Wheels

305 Tires

Nearly a 1-second 1/4 mile improvement and a 3 second lap (whatever track) improvement.

It's a subtle change that does a lot to improve traction, handling and the overall stance and presence of the car. It's money well spent compared to a $5k Shaker hood, a $2k decal package or $2,500 wheel upgrade.

exactly.

I'll have to see one in person, but I think it looks waaayyyyyy better than a "widebody" Challenger. No question about that.
It flows a lot better on the Charger and the flares actually look like they're part of the car rather just put on. I already love the Charger cars anyways. One of the hottest looking vehicles on the road today, in my opinion.

And I agree about the "widebody" call. It's not really a widebody because of some fender flares. But, at least they will be getting fatter wheels/tires under there.
Cannot wait for the Redeye version of this beast.

I agree, except with the 1LE, that spoiler flows really well with the car. The ZR1 and and GT500 Look like GARBAGE.

The spoiler on the 350R was greatly executed. Fits the car very well.

Lol at people trying to discredit it and say it’s not a wide body. The body of the car has been augmented to be wider then its previous variant.

It sounds like the same people who cry that the new Supra isn’t a Supra lol. People get so caught up in wanting to just discredit anything they can these days.

There was obviously cost reasons behind the flairs I’m sure but they were also executed beautifully in my opinion. It would be like getting upset that ford has kept the older style head lamps on the gt350 and GT500’s. Obviously we know why, because the existing mount panels were able to be utilized with out further cost to change.

its a "supra" with a BMW sourced engine, transmission, suspension components with german part numbers stamped on them and the vast majority of the chassis. The only thing toyota is the outer skin and the badge on front.

Agree. Sad that Toyota would rather just tune a car than engineer one. Even more sad that the hype train FROM Toyota is that the Supra is back.

Ummm, no.

Isn’t the scion FRS powered by a subaru engine. Just seems like Toyota is the performance downhill swing lately.
