From what I’ve seen so far this doesn’t deserve the Supra name. I’ll reserve further judgment until I can see one in person. Because there have been cars in the past that I wasn’t a fan of in pictures, but they worked for me in person.

I don't know about NHRA...But in Nascar Ford Teams are going to the Mustang bodied car and Chevy Teams the Camaro body. I suspect Toyota will eventually move to the Z4...err Supra body...

Makes two of us. Its a slap in the face to Toyota performance enthusiasts. Even though I work on Lexus cars, they (F performance cars) do nothing to inspire me. 470 NA HP in a 4500 car feels and is slow. Though compared to the 300 hp V6 and 200hp 4cyl Turbo (ugh) it "feels" fun. Even if they rebadged a Lexus RC chassis as a Supra, its a hollow rendition of a legendary nameplate.

A Re-badged Z4 is just ****ing lazy and its shameful Toyota would go down that road calling it a "Supra".
