I have been out of the terminator market for some years. I am looking at a mint red vert stock other than a pulley and exhaust w/ 10k miles. What is the current value of these cars?

If it’s mint like you say I would say 24-26k simply bc verts don’t pull as much cash along with being red. If it was one of the “premium” colors and was a coupe it could easy fetch 30k.
Offer low then work your way up.

I would say low 20's because of time of year. I would agree with DD in early spring.

Correct me if I am wrong but weren't 10ths only available in Black, Red and Silver?

Low 20s for a mint 10th anniversary vert is too low, even for this time of year. If I were the seller, I would definitely not sell it for that. Upper 20s is more realistic.

As for coupes vs. verts, my thoughts... When these cars were new, many wanted coupes because “race car!” This was true when these cars were a handful of years old as well. As these cars age, I think we will see a shift in that dynamic. Look back to the muscle cars of the 60s/70s... coupes were desired when they were the latest and greatest performance machines. As the cars aged and were replaced with better and better performance offerings, boulevard convertible cruisers became more desirable than coupes. I think we will see this same thing happen in the Terminator world. Ford has been drastically improving the Mustang since 03/04. Our cars are quickly becoming “classics!”

I agree with the same viewpoint. In the past several years, I can't tell you how many terminator verts I've seen parted for their drivetrains... similar fate was had for muscle verts back in the 60's/70's. Time will tell; however, the mortality rate for 03/04 Cobras between theft, accidents, and part-outs seems to be steady.

Damn.....I wonder how many are left. Didn't they make 19,000 or so 03's and 04's?

If only that information was out there: Special Editions

And then there is this: http://www.terminator-cobra.com/Production Numbers.pdf

I got the production numbers, that's easy to find out. What I'm wondering is how many are left. Besides the wrecks, conversions, parting out, etc, how many of those 19,140 are out there. I wonder if there are 15,000 left? Or even 10,000?

BTW, nice page. It was yours and CobraBob's pages that really helped me out and gave me a lot of good info when I was coming back into the Cobra scene after getting out of it for 10 years.

That's really the "$64,000 question"......how many are left? Even when you think you've seen one out in the wild......is it really a terminator vin #? These cars are one of the most copied cars out there thru the years with all the body panel/driveline swaps making the fobra a really difficult thing to decipher from a real terminator unless you see the vin # or other more subtle identifying marks.

Check the footwell by the vortex drive. If it’s still red, it’s a real one. If it’s blue, the matrix sapped another soul...

You're right. I just saw this on Youtube this morning:

This guy is contemplating taking the drivetrain out of that Mystichrome vert and putting it in another car.

DANG! I hate to see a Mystichrome Terminator meet its death, but that car has lived a rough life! He was right in the video... the body and mechanicals can be fixed and the paint can be resprayed, but that elusive Mystichrome leather interior will be tough! There are some used sets that pop up periodically though.

I would vote for transferring the goodies into one of his Foxes and then painting the upgraded Fox Mystichrome!
