As for buying a Ford GT... my oldest started college this fall and my youngest goes next year. The cash I’m shelling out over the next 5 years would have bought a nice one.

Should’ve told them to work harder. Full Scholarships would’ve gotten Dad a Ford GT.

Everything about all of those photos is just riduculous.

Those phone pics are very nice and that's an amazing garage! Not many people have big, clean garages like yours.

Tim, how tall is your garage? How many sq. ft.?

The garage was built to be expandable. It is currently 40x40 on a 40x62 slab with the back 40x22 serving as a basketball court for my teenage sons. The walls are 14.5’ tall with the peak at about 18’ tall. This puts the current square feet at 1600 and 2480 once complete. The slab already has anchors for the expansion and the building was engineered for the addition to be added later. I also had my electrician put the circuits for the expansion in place before I had it spray foam insulated. The aft wall will stay in place when the addition is built with only a people door connecting the two and it will have a car door on the side. I’m also thinking of putting some sort of paint booth in the added section so I can do my own painting when I restore my 89.

Although this pic was of my truck/trailer, you can see the front of the garage. It has two 14x12 doors.

Thanks Brad. For the floor, I wanted it to look like water. I hollered at a local guy that did custom flooring. I explained what I wanted and he said a metallic epoxy would work. Problem was he had never done what I was asking or worked on that large of a continuous floor (no cut lines). There was some trial and error, but it eventually worked and I’m happy with the results. The process was:

Use a grinder to grind fresh slab.
Put down a layer of black epoxy primer.
For the base coat, he used a blue metallic epoxy with silver mist mixed into it (poured on floor separately). He then used a squeegee and leaf blower to cause effects on the floor. The final step was covering it with a gloss polyurethane top coat.

I had to go back and look at the floor. Cars had my attention the first time through.

Awesome garage. Need some pics of your memorabilia.

Just went and snapped these shots. It’s hard to capture it all. I have a lot of memorabilia. Most of it is original stuff from the 93 Cobra up through the Terminator, but there are a few eBay recreations in the mix. The big banners are original dealer and SVT events banners from the 90s. There are also 2 original SVT flags/banners up high. I have tracked down every piece of memorabilia and article on the 00R I could find... I think I have just about all of them. I’ve also been acquiring vintage 90s SVT shirts and hats. A nice little piece of history I got from a Ford exec was the Cobra floor mat sample Ford sent to Shelby for approval to be used in the aftermarket Cobra mats in the Terminator. The Ford exec wrote a nice story about how it all went down, which I have framed with the sample. You’ll see in the pics, I have a 40’ wall dedicated to the R and there are other sections dedicated to each of the cars in my collection.

It's about the size I expected. The basketball slab is a nice benefit for your son right now. That floor IMO is a big focal point. Nicest garage floor coating I've ever seen.

So is that spray foam I'm seeing on the walls?

Thank you sir!

Yes, I had the ceilings and walls sprayed with a min of 2” closed-cell foam. It’s more like 3” in many places. I then had the entire interior painted white. With the 30 overhead 4500 lumens LED lights, it’s nice and bright in there!

@Goose17 dammit. I'm obsessed with duplicating your collection. You have already cost me quite a bit of money lol

Funny! (Sorry) :p

I like cars that grab your attention... they get me fired-up! All 4 of the Cobras are 1-year only cars that are definitely not subtle. I enjoy having a toy I can play with while still having its value tick upwards. This is definitely a fun hobby/passion.

TK1299, it may cost you some $ buying these cars now, but the 93, 96, 00R and 04 are actually good investments. It won’t take long before you’ll have positive equity in your hobby. Happy hunting!
