Once they figure out how to make 'em hook, electric cars will be ridiculously fast.
Instantly/constantly in the powerband.
I do agree though, electric is boring as hell to watch/hear.

The "hearing" part can be fixed with piped in sound. Purists wouldn't be happy with anything but the real thing. LOL. It's already being done, of course, in varying degrees. I would expect that an electric Camaro (or Mustang) could incorporate engine sound enhancement to satisfy those who just don't want a silent engine. I wonder if it was done to perfection would more people accept it than we might think. Here's an interesting article from Car And Driver from 2012.

The younger genetation kids growing up now would so much rather have a reliable faster car that they dont need to wrench on and get greasy and spend money to repair and maintain. Some people also like certain cars because of the way they sound but are limited to their platform and reliability problems. I bet kids will love to be able to make their car sound like all different kinds of cars based on which audio track they select that day. It will give them an opportunity to experience what it might have been like driving older cars they grew up watching videos of. Obviously stuff like this isn't appealing to enthusiasts like us, but I can see it catching on with the younger generation.

I want to see a hydrogen fuel cell swap before I'll ever touch an electric anything. Maybe with a fusion reactor powered grid, we will finally see hydrogen stations as well.

Just because someone has a different opinion doesn't mean they're "butthurt".

I wish we could ban that word from being used by people who can't handle dissension.

I say butthurt because it’s a Camaro, if it were Ford that did this with a mustang, everyone would be praising it. It’s just funny how people just hate something because it’s not a Ford.

I wouldn't like it if it was an electric Ford. Same for Dodge. I don't care for electric vehicles.
