Started about 10 weeks ago and dropped 25 in first two months. Last two weeks hit a wall. I've been drinking more diet ice tea and less water lately, is that my problem? Some say caffeine doesn't effect much but I also read it depends on the person too.

28 years old, 5'9. Free fast food for me makes it difficult (work 55hrs at our DQ a week)

Been on an on/off "diet" for 2 years now. Been weighing around 190-194 or so for the last 2 years. Definitely not strict diet, and I don't go to the gym. Weight would fluctuate

Never really lost any weight. Duhhhhh

Been on a semi Keto diet for 10 days now. I woke up at 182.8 this morning. Still no gym, and still drinking some light beers and rum

Eggs, sausage, cheese, beef, chicken, unsweetened ice tea (stevia added) and cold brew coffee cream only

It works. Period

Yep it does. Biggest thing is it flushes all the water out of your cells.

I can change how I look in a week by loading or cutting. Just chemistry.

I really want to get going on this, but I just can't give up my daily Latte.. feeling like how good the KETO Coffee tastes is going to be a big motivating factor.

I've lost 16lbs in 22 days.

My wife is using the "Carb Manager" app to track my food intake. I try to keep it under 15g of carbs a day.

The piss strips are useful for determining if your still in ketosis. Its on/off so even if you are watered down and showing trace amounts, your still in ketosis. I use one anytime I worry about what I ate.

I did piss on one the other morning after not eating or drinking for a long time. it didn't look to show anything. I grabbed the piss strip by the test end though, wondering if I contaminated the strip. Pissed on one later after eating two baked chicken breasts, and it showed moderate ketones. Something to be aware of.

I lived a little and crushed a 26oz Boneless Ribeye yesterday in one sitting, at Texas Roadhouse, good times.

I switch on and off from low carb to sorta zone diet levels of carbs and fat.

Ramps your metabolism back up for a day or two and then couple 2-3 days back on low carb

Some items which have made it easier for me.

Drink:
- Mio Energy/Regular: Really enhances the taste of water, and tricks you into your drinking something different, as I burn out on a lot of plain water. 0 carbs.
- Coffee: A premium nice espresso roast coffee. Currently drinking a Espresso Mint Chocolate coffee, and it tastes great without anything added.
- Almond Milk: Something different, use it in omelettes, and other food mostly. I drank a glass it wasn't that bad.

Snacks:
- Pork Rinds: Little to no carbs, depending on brand, fixes the snack the urge.
- Pepperoni: I love pepperoni and 0 carbs. Found a 5lb bag of Hormel at Wegmans for ~$10. I have my wife weigh 2 servings and stick them in sandwich bags for me.
- Sunflower Seeds: Keeps you busy, just don't over due it, 1/3 bag is fine. Spitz Cracked Pepper, the best.
- Bacon: Can't believe I almost forgot bacon. Works anytime of the day.

Lunch:
- Lunch Meat: Do your research, as they are all over the place regarding carbs. I found luck at local Mennonite country store. Scored some very low carb chipotle chicken and turkey.
- Blocked Cheese: Pair some lunch meat with some slices of block cheese.
- Bubba Burgers: Turkey and Beef are 0 carbs, taste good, and are quick.
- Velveeta Cheese: Better for you nutritionally and has more taste than regular cheese.
- String Cheese: Good snack/lunch add on.

I've always been kind of a meat and potatoes type of guy, so this diet has been rather easy to adjust to. I really miss potatoes and some sweets once in awhile, but the urge passes.

I just have to ask.. How you dont eat certain foods. Like right now 6'1 201. I'd love to be 185 ut like right now... I'm cooking fettucini alfredo covered in cheese.

I absolutely love pasta... plus good beer. How do some of you turn down such foods.. or find replacements

Been doing Keto since May 20th. I'm down 11 pounds, without even counting calories. I'm coming up on my first cheat day this weekend. Looking forward to it.

hey man, if you would rather have your latte's and die a fat piece of shit, that is entirely your right.

;)

No offense intended. That is basically the talk I have with myself every time I think about pizza, pasta, subs, etc.

I have a nice espresso machine with steam wand. Anyways I started doing Caffe Breve, which is very similar to a latte, but with full fat half/half or whipped cream, those only have 1 carb per serving. You can also use almond milk which virtually has no carbs. I typically use very little half|half then add hot water from the machine, then steam. Very rich and IMHO taste better than a latte. I use no artificial sweeteners or otherwise, always been preference of mine with regard to coffee etc.

I was lucky in that I drank my coffee black before getting on keto. Good to know there are options for those who dont. I do hear some of the artificial sweeteners are pretty good too, but haven't needed to try them myself.
