I'm thinking it might be the egr gasket. Used silicon the first time then I used a paper gasket. I re seal it with silicone tomorrow see how it goes.Look around for possible vacuum leaks. Possible that the pcm is dropping the IAC count way down, or even closing it, to try and bring the idle down to where its supposed to be.
Good call. Maybe spray carb cleaner and see what happens. We used a small bottle of propane with a hose on it to prevent the mess.I'm thinking it might be the egr gasket. Used silicon the first time then I used a paper gasket. I re seal it with silicone tomorrow see how it goes.

Yea I know I'm just hoping it's not the intake manifold gaskets.Good call. Maybe spray carb cleaner and see what happens. We used a small bottle of propane with a hose on it to prevent the mess.
The most notable sign of a vacuum leak is surging; the IAC is basically chasing it's tail trying to control the idle.
I already ordered an egr delete kit for $28 so hopefully that solved the issue. I'm praying the manifold itself isn't cracked. How tough are the stock manifolds?Good luck bro.
Whatever it is, hopefully it's an easy and inexpensive fix!

Fingers crossedI’m betting it’s just the pipe hopefully. I know whenever I get to this point I’m going EGR delete.

Little update. Got the egr bung in and bought new 80lbers ev6 style so I can get rid of the ev1 adapters too. Everything is going in Friday. View attachment 1492641
