Wanna feel kool with an 11 second tranny and clutch get a stick. Wanna go FAST with a low 8 second tranny from the factory get an Auto...... The 10r80 is a no brainer its utterly badass but so is the 6r80.

Lmao. The joy of winning races and getting good ETs is far greater than that of being able to shift around town for me.
This is what I don't understand. How in the real world does owning an auto absolutly guarantee a win when you may be staged next to another auto car or a better dialed manual car thats simply faster...?

A lot of you guys seems to work for motortrend where you only race bone stock identicle cars.

Anyway the saying "there's ALWAYS someone faster" goes for me so I'll stick with what I enjoy more

Go to the track and see. The auto cars are smoking the manuals 95% of the time. Its no fairy tail its just facts. The autos can shift faster than just about any person in a manual. Look at the super cars these days there basically an auto now too.

I agree, there is always someone faster. The better your setup performs the lower that number. I go to the track fairly often, especially in the last couple of Florida winter months. Cars that drive 2 hours to the track, make several mid to low 10sec passes and drive back at full weight aren’t as common as YouTube makes it seem. And car performs just as good on the street, always in boost, always pulling.

Definitely not what I experience lol.. I saw tons of auto hellcats running 12's so my non understanding of the auto= guaranteed win still doesn't make sense.

I see the same thing in the Z06 running in the 12s all day. Just because its an auto doesn't mean that driver can drive it in the 10s. But u still see those 12s with autos beating those high 12s low 13s in a manual.

I’ll say this, I’m not paying 30+k for a new car with junk mt82.

My MT-82 feels better and has been more reliable than my T-56 Magnum currently. I didn't have a tailshaft seal blow out of my MT-82 at only 300 miles.

This right here is exactly why I don't really care about trying to build some super high HP car, in this day and age where 1000rwhp is the minimum of having a fast car, I'd rather be able to enjoy driving.

Yes, because the people who buy them to show off on instagram can't drive stick. Look at the last generations of supercars in resale value auto vs manual, the manual cars are always worth more money.
