9.65 is nuts!!! I wonder if ford and chevy will even make an attempt to beat it lol. That 840hp is under rated, its probably putting close to that at the wheels.

So, on Hellcat.Org... someone posted a link to FCA showing only being built for 2018 and only 3,000 of them will be in the US. I bet the price will be $150k+ with ADM's.
Still a bargain but that's more than a lightly used McLaren MP12-4c and +100rwhp ecu tune. I hope Dodge/FCA make a killing and that dealers do well (Not ADM well) so they and other manus continue to bring forth off the wall models like this.

Yeah, if it's a one year run and only 3,000 of them being built,.........it's going to be one pricey car. LOL

Yea, bro... I'm not getting in a bidding war some some rich people to buy this car. I'll just deck out my Hellcat and appreciate the heated and cooled seats. LOL

They raised the production on the hellcat after it sold out like hotcakes...I could see them doing that with this car to, if it sells they will build more.

Was told MSRP is under 100k...with the way Dodge limited the ADM after the Hellcat fiasco, I don' think it's going to be a how much do you thing as much as a who do you know thing (knowing a dealer that will order one for you).

It's not a problem with who I know. The problem is, they are in the business of making money. They have told me repeatedly that I am their best non-fleet customer, but if I don't pay the ADM, someone else will. With the HC, I just waited... But with 3300 cars, I'm not sure that's gonna be an option for me this time.

Not to mention, at 100k... I might as well get a used exotic. I'm driving this bitches to work. They are lucky to see the track a few times a year.

If it's worth your time pen a letter to FCA, if not the aforementioned used tune and DR only McLaren will also run 9s@140+.

its no bargain at all. You can buy a fully built motor good to 2000 hp, a Turbo kit, a fuel system, upgrade ur transmission and rear end and save about $50k and go WAY faster.....

With the $50k I saved THAT is my Warranty money and maybe I will spend $5k of it repairing things here and there.....

Don't be that guy. Anyone can buy a $1500 foxbody, slap a $1000 LS in it, put a cheap turbo on it, and run 9-10s.

Who cares?

Awaiting link to car that has warranty and runs 9s.

Until then your comparison is null and void as it's not apples to apples. Simple as that

You can always argue cheaper methods of speed, but as pointed out not from the factory. It's the 10k for a fox mustang and 20k in mods argument. To date they are the only oem to go down this road, my hat's off to FCA and I'm now more cynical Ford didn't put a V8 in the new GT.

I swear, every time a fast car comes out...there's always that guy that wants to stick with an older car and mod it to go as fast or faster for less money.

listen, its a Dodge..... it will tank in value just like every other Dodge does. In two years it will be worth $75-80k. So u spent $40-50k more then you should have for a Dodge and now its worth $20k less so ur WARRANTY aint gonna mean dick cause if you had any common sense you would have built ur own to go faster for HALF the cost and it didn't tank $20k in value two years later.

Its simply not a good investment and no one is talking about a 1990 Fox body Mustang. yes no shit there is no comparison but I will take any newer Mustang and modify it over an over priced 4600 lb. TANK!

lets wait and see how many average ppl get into the 9's with this before we start calling it s 9 second car.

This is NOVELTY car for some dude that has more money then sense! its a beautiful car but sorry $100k for a dodge Challenger with some upgrades is laughable!

Dude.

Who mentioned resale value? You.

If the car runs 9 seconds, it's a 9 second car. Period. End of story. Just because your grandma can't drive it to 9.65, doesn't mean it's not a 9 second car.

I don't know where you're seeing Fox Mustangs for $10k, but if you want one for $5k, let me know. They are for sale around here for $1,500 to $2,000 all day. I'd be happy to save you $5k while I make $3k. LOL

Yea, I mentioned Re-sale value cause the question was pertaining to VALUE so yea they go hand and hand..... Its not a good VALUE. its an over priced HEAVY car designed to do one thing and it really doesn't even do it all that well for the price tag.

and what are u talkn about if the car runs 9's its a 9 second car? who has run 9's with it yet? show me? the likelihood is most ppl will go low 10's with it and thats great but not for $100k.

A brand new Mustang with mods will not only look better but perform better. again, its a novelty car that probably gets 8 mpg considering it weighs as much as a small tank.

so if you had $100k you would buy the Demon over a new Mustang that you now could spend $65,000 modifying?
