It really amazes me how poor of a job GM did marketing this car.

Imagine a true 4 door, v8 equipped, 6 sp manual sedan selling in the US.

Then consider how even a large portion of the enthusiast market is unfamiliar with said car.

It should go without saying that if car junkies aren't familiar with the car, how much can the normal customer base know?

Word is they really don't want to sell it.

I just looked and did not see a Holden option.

They might not be doing all the options now because I believe March or April is the last month you can order one.

Last year I went through builder on website, I distinctly remember the holden badges option and also blacking out trim(the lower fog light trim and side fender trim from the stock chrome) The 17 appears to have this blackout already.

I saw a red one of these the other day with a baby seat in the back. Looks like you can still have a fun car for a family if you want.

Yeah a guy that had one at CC last spring said GM wasn't even advertising it well you either had to go on the website. Or in a dealer and ask there weren't even brochure's for it.

That's what I'm thinking. Holden will not be producing cars after this year. I bet there profit margins in these aren't that great either?

not at my post...
GM has pretty much done a shit job of marketing any of their Aussie made cars, GTO, G8, and SS. No real effort, marketing campaign etc.

They're only selling the SS to fulfill a contractual obligation to the Holden plant down under. They'd rather direct people to the new frumpy looking impala.

Also, the Holden badge swap did exist. It might not be offered now, but I do remember seeing that option last year.

How ironic. I just started psyops with the wifey for one of these. Tired of the STi.

Anyone have any input on how an SS may handle in snow (with snow tires if necessary)???
