What happened to all the love for the C6 ZO6? I haven't seen any mentioned in months. Have the new ZL1/Demon/Hellcat become the new popular car to lust after?

The c6z is the only car gm has produced recently that's worth a damn! 505hp 3100lbs.

There was a thread recently someone wanted 40 for his used one when others are on the market for mid 30's.

You're probably referring to me & I didn't say 40. Mine is for sale for $37k, thanks.

Maybe due to the fact that there is much newer stuff out there. More than a decade later and c6 z06's are still one of the fastest / baddest vehicles out on the road. A lot of bang for the buck.

Also, only a bubdle of sticks drives convertibles. Oops! didnt mean to say that out loud.

What. Don't you mean the C7 Z06? Why would people be talking about a car that came out a decade ago.

It might be old, but just like the 03/04 cobra, it crushed many feelings (to include Ford's supercar the GT), it still crushes feelings today.

Yeah, for the right price I'd still love to have a C6Z. But I'm well aware there's a lot more performance out there now.

I thought I saw that your car had sold? Didn't you post a pic somewhere stating it sold--the weld wheels were in the hatch area.

Everytime I think about selling my C6Z, all I have to do is go for a drive. It checks all the boxes I want:

  • lightweight (by today's cars)
  • Naturally aspirated
  • large displacement
  • easy to work on/maintain

Agreed. Plus i think C6Z's look better than the C7's. just a personal preference

The one and only car I still luster after. Its what I planned on buying, but ended up buying my cobra because it was cheaper and I didn't need a loan for it. Those two cars are my top 2 affordable favorites. I love the cobra, but I still always window shop for a c6z. One of these days maybe..

500 hp just doesn't really get people excited any more when you have 650+ hp cars with quick shifting 8/10 speed autos.

In fairness though, the C6z is still more appealing to me than those new(er) cars you mentioned because it's only available in a manual trans and it weighs 3100 pounds.

This theory would only apply to the morons that have no concept / idea of what "power to weight ratio" is.

Most people cannot afford a $60k+ new car either. The C6Z is a lot more affordable. You don't need the extra 30k or so to make the C6Z fast enough to beat said new cars.
