With the holidays now gone I got some more done on the car.

The bodywork is close to being done. I spent the past month just getting all of the body lines nice and flowing the way they should. I am going to one more final coat of primer and block it all down one last time to be safe, I'm shooting to have the car painted by the end of the month.

I also took the time to fit the rear stainless trim, I will have to shorten it because of moving the back window forward.

I also modified the seat frames, Because of the modifications to the floor and transmission tunnel I had to cut and reweld quite a bit. However once they are reupholstered it will look just like factory. I am also entertaining the idea of putting heated seat elements on the front bench.

as promised, I finally painted the car this weekend. It's been a LONG time coming ( id estimate about 300-400 hours of bodywork plus another 30 or so hours actually spraying the car) but well worth the effort. PPG makes a great product, pictures do not do it justice, the pictures below are right out of the gun and are not wetsanded or buffed at all.

In the booth.

Ran the heater hoses and mounted the heater control valve.

Im going to be 25 in may. I started my 67 fastback build while I was a Sophomore in college. Ive owned this car since I was 21, so almost as long as my fasback, it got put on the back burner a couple times while I was away at college and also when I spend the summer in ireland.

Keep up the good work OP.

This car is coming together as well as the 67. Your attention to detail is what sets your cars apart.

couple small updates.

front grille and lights are on. I went with some hella lights as opposed to the standard sealed beam, its a little bit of a cleaner lens and is considerably brighter.

small update, I brought the car out to Tucci Engineering in Marcy NY so the rest of the glass can be cut and installed. While its out there I will be going out periodically to button up some small ends such as A/C lines, Steering stops, Air filters and some small stuff.

11204902_10155386201695478_3319646458396832850_n.jpg

I also fabricated a panel to hold the ignition, the headlight switch, and the cruise control buttons.

11193318_10155386201840478_7556361961100360885_n.jpg

which is almost invisible once the extra key is removed.
