So your 2011 lights look like this? :dw:

Also, debatable? LOL, so Ford is lying now?

The 10-12's have led taillights, just different style. Get it now? Ford lie? Why don't you ask a 99 Cobra owner.

Can you change the front end, tail lights, valance and track apps for that as well? Diff strokes for diff folks, but there was a bit more than just painted valances and some lights.

If you want to get technical, yes actually you could. Front bumper is a couple hundred dollars from tousley. While i'm not sure about the price of the hood, I am certain that it could be had for less than a grand. Just find a good painter that does stuff on the side and you have a new generic GT front end!

Its awesome that Ford can use a gimmick like track apps to make people go for a '13 lol. I don't know of anyone who actually messes with them :lol1:

No way, i like the looks of 11-12 better, and no way i would pay that much more for the same car. I do like the 13 tails better

Lol... I haven't yet, but the rest of that system is very handy, the gauge settings, A/F Ratio, head temp, air inlet temp... and the trip settings and fuel economy settings are pretty nice. There is also the steering feel adjustment that works as well, with a noticeable diff in feels. So yes, nice that ford can get people to buy a car do to a gimmick. lol

Red herring anyone? You know what I was trying to say and you also know the 13 lights are very much improved over the 10-12 lights. But hey, at least you got LED's right? LOL.

Also, yeah, maybe the hp claim is false, maybe it's not. However, it's advertised as such and my butt dyno feels it :lol1:. However, since you're so adamant about this, why not back it up with some proof? Either way, 8 hp is nothing to argue about so it really doesn't need to be a point of contention. The fact is Ford and every other car company try to improve upon their cars year in and year out. They did so with the 13 and will do so in the future. Get it?

You make it sound so easy, LOL (it's hard to get the parts and in the case you do, hope the paint matches.....). The fact is to upgrade to the 13 parts it will cost you the same, if not more than just buying a new one altogether.

Also, a gimmick? LOL, since when is improved technology a gimmick? I kind of like seeing what kind of g's I can generate and the 0-60 timer is a lot of fun, just hard to use safely. It also is eye candy for when you're driving but I guess you prefer the 1980's looking gas gauges? To each their own.

With that said, I still think the 10-12's are kickass cars so don't think I'm trashing them. I just think the 13 is improved and why wouldn't it be?

FYI the 11s-12s have most of those settings as well. I know they have the steering, fuel econ, trip etc but i'm not 100% on the rest because I havent cycled through the 30 different options available.

I didn't start being the jerk chief, you did so with your "get it" statement. Either way, there's no need to quarrel about this as we all share the same passion for the mustang. Happy motoring.

You will not be to do a simple LED changeout to look like the 2013's lights. The only way to do so would be to buy the part but I don't know if they are compatible so.....

Also, how are people suckers? Honestly, if you had the chance to buy a 2012 vs. a 2013 for the same price with no strings attached, you honestly think you would buy the 12? Now, if you're just talking about a switch from a 2012 to a 2013 then I can see where you are coming from, but concerning a new car buyer it's a no brainer.

Theres a difference to buying a 2013 for the first time, not buying a 2011-2012 then trading it in for basically the same car. It is truly the same car if you look past simple upgrades. Every year they introduce another car, you going to keep trading in over and over?

so put Recaros in the car yourself! Installing seats is like putting fuel in your tank. Come on guys, this is baby shit.

I did a quick google search for the difference, HID headlights are standard and LED fog lights, Trackapps which includes your basic brembo package like the 11-12's, Rear LED tail lights, and 9 HP increase.

It would be nice to do so right, LOL? However, I think the simple upgrades are not so simple. The new headlights and the NEW led tails are pretty significant (looks wise). Recaro's are also a very significant upgrade. The appearance changes are to the eye of the beholder so I hear you there, but there's no doubting that is looks changed and let's not forget the functional hood. The LCD screen is no game changer but it does add a little more fun and technology to the car. Either way, like I said before, the 2011-2012's are still awesome in their own right as Ford hit a home fun with this car. With that said, I'm pretty sure I'm going to like the next gen mustang that comes out but we shall see.

2015 will be totally different car, i will give you that. They expect a full body change and all your other technological goodies they will add in. That would be something to wait out for. Look at Corvette C6 owners, the C6's was basically the same unless you got a Z or grandsport. Most held out until the intro of the new C7, which is going to be fords wake up call

I do think that some of the hate on the 13 might be that 11-12 owners are a lil bit butthurt that Ford up and changed the look of them so soon into the model run...I could be wrong. Just sayin...lol:poke::beer:

for some of them, you are right on. anyone that doesnt think the 2013 looks better than the 11-12's, needs their eyes checked. i think alot of 11-12 owners, say the 11-12's look better so they have piece of mind. telling themselves they wouldnt take a 13 over it, because they are already invested in their car.

all of them look good and are fast (11-13). but hands down the 13's body and lighting changes puts it on another level.
