What were the final HP/TQ numbers? It was advertised as 450/450 but some claim that was an "at least" number.
The official numbers have not been released yet, but 450/450 is the estimated HP/TQ for the new LT1. Same deal with the overall weight of the car. The final numbers won't be released until 3rd qtr or something like that I believe.

I am not impressed. The rear is simply ugly, but the rest of the car looks OK.
I think I will keep my C6 for a long time and just mod:beer:
Thanks for sharing the pics OP.

it looks better and better everytime i see it. there will always be critics but it will grow on everyone like it did in 05 mustangs and 2010 rear ends.

this is the base model so i expect the z will have a wider body like the c6's.

glad the comparison pics were posted, cause now I pinpointed what's been bugging me about the design the most. the rear window area. If the side glass had been partitioned off like on the C6, I feel this car would actually look like a vette, save for the non-round tail lights.

It sucks...camaro tail lights, that dumb bump out on the lower doors, the extra front molded chin spoiler.

They got too many cues from the Lambo...too fighter plane-ish.

A little cheezy on the stingray emblem lol.

BUT it would be interesting driving a 7 speed. I thought going from my Mach 1 5 speed to my GTO 6 speed was nice.

FAIL ... I am sorry, but the older one looks better and more fluid than the new one. If the design is functional, rather than aesthetic, then great, but even with no bling, just the lines, the older Z06 looks much better. I hear by label the C7 the 'Try Hard' Vette. (Not that I have any internet cred).

I'm also on the fence till I see one in person. Leaning toward the like side. I keep going back to pics of it. After seeing the comparisons here, it also affirms that I kinda like it lol if that made sense. It's a new era for the vette. Hope it does well, cause it will prolly be around for 7-8 years :p
