I know multiple people running these on ethanol with no issues to speak of. Is it something else that just caused the pumps to not function? Wiring perhaps?

No we check all the wiring and there are good and giving power to the fuel pigtails.it's a lethal fuel kit and was installed by good shop here in town I just think the pumps are crap but will see what they say when I send them back to get tested.

I almost went with these pumps but chose the Stryker 340's instead
Sucks to lose pumps

I burned out 2 of these Aeromotive 340 pumps already, both with only 5-600 miles on them. They were being run in E85. Wiring and fuel system was perfect, sent them back to Aeromotive and they said the brushes were run out of them. They said no debris or anything was in them and my filter checked out good. Running Deatschwerks 3 x DW301s now.

I just burned up a pair of 340's as well...

Anyone had issues with the Walbros? I really liked having the extra headroom of the 340's, but 255's should still suffice.

My 340's are on the way back to Aeromotive. About 800 miles on E85... :(

Are all you guys having problems return style?

I had a 340 crap out when I was returnless and only running 91, sent it back for a rebuild and haven't had any issues since but I also went return style with a cobra hat.

Now this information is not directly from Aeromotive but a reliable source. From what we've seen E85 tends to wear off the black coating on the pump causing issues with the internal brushes. It seems for the people who have issues with these pumps, all run E85. I can put a call into Aeromotive monday morning and see if they can shed a little more light on the subject and I can report back.

Well I tried something when they sent me back a new steath pump two weeks ago. Since I had ordered a stryker pump already and just happen to get the aeromotive pump the next day I installed them both just to see what happens and this is not my daily driver.so I drove the car like twenty miles since the install and guess what went to drive the car and to step on it and my a/f was off.I drove it home check the pumps and the new aeromotive pump I just installed has gone out again!
