One thing about my new GT I LOVE over the GT500.

No need to waste anymore of your time on that pencil penis. We all know he will be banned another 28937043 times and no matter how much HP he makes, hes still a pansy. Nice times on your car though for pulley only. What you launching at?

On stock rims/285/40/18 05r's 3000rpms. Now with the 15" racestars and 295/55/15 M/T's 3500.....however my 60fts and et's are slower.:??:

Now you know I don't roll race. But I'd like to see what we can get out of your car, being it's 100rhwp stronger than mine. :burnout:

Soon to be more...but if I ever did go to tthe track it'd be for the trap, not the E.T. I doubt, even with great tires, my 60 ft would be any better than a 1.8 since this suspension wasn't designed for drag applications. I kinda wish I went with some tokicos or konis now...but whatever it rides great and handles amazing.

I would love to add to this discussion with yet another 5.0 kill story.

2011 5.0 M6, centri supercharger @ 10 PSI with meth injection, FMIC, drag wheels/tires (bigs and littles) racestars, stock engine, stock transmission, stock rear end, no front sway bar, no rear seat, no trim in the trunk, 1 piece driveshaft, race suspension with extra stiffing bracing. His car is much lighter than mine (easy 300 lbs. weight advantage)....my Shelby is in FULL street trim with nothing removed (mods in sig).

Racing him with pump gas, I was only able to put about .5 to .75 cars on him by the end of the race. With 32 oz. of Torco mixed with 5 gallons of 93 pump gas, and advancing the Jon Lund tune by 2* over 4000 rpm, I was able to put 2-3 cars on him by the end of the race. The 5.0 isn't superior to the Shelby, it's all in the setup. Did I mention that I still have the stock Eaton? Summary....Jon Lund tune FTW!

The 5.0 owner is a friend, and his tune is still conservative. I bet when the tune is pushed to the very edge....I will have to run Torco to get the same results racing him as if I were previously on pump gas.

For those in this thread that are anti roll race, I can slow roll my car from 20 mph, but from a dig....like Hoff...my suspension is all wrong for that. I have to roll start to be 100% kill mode.

I prefer the roll race also as the faster car will win 9 out of 10 times. From a dig to 120 it's a drivers race and you need more of a track set-up. I still won't turn down a dig race though. Oh, and good kill.

Tob,

He is on his 3rd clutch. This car is driven beyond hard. I'm talking 7k rpm clutch dumps. The transmission has a Barton shifter bracket, CHE torque limiters, and a fluid swap. He eliminated all of the MT82 grind problems and so far, the transmission is hanging in there.

I agree with roll racing because you eliminate the launch. Not only does a good launch require a good driver, it also depends on a properly set up suspension. I have nothing against dig racing, but on the street....a true test of power is a slow roll to see what car is actually faster. Not which has a better launch advantage.

Oh snap!

First 2011 Mustang GT 5.0L 4V In The 8's! 8.89@148MPH - YouTube

And Me32. You are a troll. You have been since you started posting on this board. I see you in all kinds of threads stirring up crap. You need to be banned, sell your car and shoot yourself. Then maybe we can all have some piece. Or better yet, you and hasseldouche can kill eachother. This would be one of those great times on a local forum where the little girls would stop posting because the men would go knock on their door and stop them from posting. Too bad I dont live closer to either of you, otherwise you would get a personal visit. There would be no more taking my words and twirling them around like the little batton tossers you guys really are. Girth? Sure buddy. Now hop in your slow junk and tow your band of merry men with you OUT of MY thread.

:nono:

Hahaha Damn right I'm troll HahHahaha..better than being a big ass cry baby every thread you post is about you crying about how your car is slow no.matter what car you bought. :burnout:

Seriously. You're talking shit to me and my upper pulley only car has run within a .10th of your 700rwhp beast. Get real.:poke:

And I know the new 6spd auto is a huge advantage on the dragstrip, however Ford doesn't put it in the Shelby's.

Hahahhahaha I guess I'm.slow then Hahahaha.

OP...Did you really tell someone to "go shoot themselves" and then go as far to say you would vandalize their shelby?

This is sad and seriously troublesome. The words "Pathetic", "Childish", and "Insecure" come to mind when reading your posts.

You couldnt afford the Shelby, very understandable. You bought the more affordable 5.0, again understandable. You come on a GT500 forum and come across as someone trying to justify their purchase to make themselves "feel like they made the right decision", kind of understandable. I am beginning to see your motives here, but some of your comments...regardless of provocation are seriously out of line.

You sold a Shelby for a run of the mill GT, lets keep this in perspective. BUT it made sence for you...keep your opinions to the 2011 GT section and dont bring them here. The GT guys over there will relate to your financial choice and motives. People tend to agree with their own purchase, just dont come one here trying to tell us how our "pigs" are lacking. Get real, you are simply lieing to yourself sir.

Enjoy your gt

I'm not usually the type to stir the pot..... but I had to post this

http://www.svtperformance.com/forum...7546-i-kinda-miss-look-regular-gt-not-cs.html

This has absolutely NOTHING to do with the GT500, nothing at all. I miss the more simplistic look of my other base GT I had. That car had some serious issues and was traded in within a month of purchasing. If I had my way, I would pull off all the CS exterior parts of the car and swap them to the regular GT parts. Not one thing in my post refers to the GT500, so congrats. I just despise the GT500 spoiler in general, let alone a GT500 spoiler on a GT. Same with the new GT500 wheels on a GT. Not a fan.
