i'll call bullshit on that. stock for stock the mustang slaughters the camaro and thats been proven in many of test and videos. so basically with the same mods u going to tell me the camaro will pull 3 car lengths or so? do u really believe that yourself?

hell even the 2010 with 315 hp can damn near keep up with a stock ss and if u click on every video on the side of that one with camaros vs 5.0 the 5.0 damn near wins in every race so i definatley call bs

Well on my way to work tonight just happened to pull up next to an ss and tried to get him to run. Dude wouldn't budge. Even ended up at a red light next to each other dude wouldn't even look over. Driving from the light I took off and waited for th guy to catch up. On a road where the speed limit is 65 I slowed to 30 to let the dude catch up and he wouldn't come near me. Sup with these camaro drivers. Y have a muscle car if u never want to run it :-/

youre right its illegal and dangerous but honestly who can say they never ever had a street race. especially on a road where the speed limit is 70 and its a clear stretch of road for miles. but watch the moment i'm just cruising along or damn near on e and looking for a gas station one is going to do a ricer fly by lol

man i cant get vettes to budge at all. fly bys, rev next to them, flash lights and they all r like fk that. but down here its mostly older guys 50 and up driving vettes and its the normal base vette. i drive from one end of my town to the other and ive never seen a z06 or zr1 but the day i finally get one to run watch its going to b like a twin turbod z06 or something lol

Hey I had them jump on me while I was out in my daughters focus getting new tires put on it..thats no shit..He pulled up next to me in his transformer addtion SS and wanted to race the focus..I was like really..seen him again while out in the Shelby guess what he turned on the first side street..Yea I know what you mean..alot of c6s and c5s here they look damn good and some have bolt ons..only seen one C6Z06 nice ride and I know they are fast but if we ever get on the same road I will not be afraid to run him..:banana: Good luck getting your race..carry a camera with you and get it on video:beer:

I dug up a video of when the GT had a CAI, email tune and axleback, but I remember him stating that even when it was stock it was walking.

On that second run where the 2011 isn't spinning it looks to be out 3cars and pulling from the cammed / geared / full bolt-on 2010GT, and bit more from the 412rwhp lightning.

Not a good vid to go by that 3v is a turd... My bolt-on VERY mild cam 3v was a good run for a well driven stock ls2 c6

They don't have the same mods. The SS has headers, which adds another 25-30rwhp to these cars. Yes the 5.0 is faster at the track, but the weight advantage is less once the cars are rolling. Like I said, the SS has a great top end and is much better from a roll than a dig.

dude technically if u watch the race the camaro is on it before dude is even on the third honk. its honk honk camaro goes honk. and like the saying goes "roll racing shows who has more horsepower, and races from a dig show whos a better driver. but i wont argue the point that the camaro has better top end pull cuz i'm not well versed in the mechanics of the camaro. so id leave that discussion to someone more versed than i am. all i can go on is 90% of the videos on the internet whether roll or dig the mustang won thats all i can go on ya know

mod for mod, the SS loses on average to a coyote. With 40-60rwhp less, a 2010 3V has no prayer.

The ss and 5.0 put ~ the same hp to the wheels...

One weighs 300 lbs more, has tall gearing and revs 1000k rpm less, yet is a roll monster... Sure the tall gearing will allow a higher top end since the 5.0 is going to top out in 5th...but that is above 165...

Well I can't wait to come across a willing one...

BTW I've got a 60-130 time (GPS verified) of 12.42 and a 60-120 time (again gps verified) of 9.74 seconds. That is in high temp and humidity...

The fastest magazine time I've been able to find for the manual ss "roll monster" is 13.4 for 130 and 10.8 for 120 with test dates in the fall (cooler temps)...

Can't wait to come across one...

all this roll racing but nobody talking bout races from a dig which is a true race. and if we're going to talk about roll racing we might as well talking road course racing and we definately knowthe 5.0 will outperform the camaro on a road course.

ive raced one ss automatic on the interstate took off from the light and hit on ramp at the same time and dude never caught up.

and granted a race will b semi close if you go on youtube 80% of the videos the mustangs takes the race

The engine numbers themselves are the same however the auto vs manual eat HP differently and the auto comes out eating more. In this day an age the auto is way more efficient than it use to be. If you look at the 5.0 manual to auto the auto is just slightly behind the manual, huge improvment.

You say "true race" when it comes to drag racing. There is a place for everything and if you want to race car against car then roll racing is more car against car than a dig being more driver against driver. What are we talking about here...car or person?

these r muscle cars we r speaking of. the truest form of racing them is from a dig lined up waiting for the christmas tree to turn green. i'll race from a dig or roll. if someone cant drive then they cant drive. dig or roll u can miss a shift or granny shift. roll racing is more which car has more hp or more pull or whatever. like if u in a rwd car racing a car thats awd its awd advantage is gone one its in a roll race now it depends on its hp and its gears and how high it revs ya know
