Tim has seen this thread, and knows that it's here. You've charged this guy a ton of money for your work.. you can at least update this thread, if only for the sake of your image as a tuner/builder.

Or Austin could buck up and fill everyone in. He hasn't posted on this site in some time, but he's been lurking within the last two weeks. If he's feeling sick about the whole thing, that's understandable, but it's not like he's the first guy to get hosed at a speed shop.

But hey, whatever. No skin off my ass, whatever the outcome was.

I can tell you a story about another cobra that MPH did. 4 motors in less than a total of 300 miles. Owner, tired of being hosed, finally said screw it. It's still sitting in my shop and the motor is still on the stand. He has lost all interest in the car because of it...

That's what I'm thinking.. There's a few possible scenarios here, and maybe Austin just doesn't want to post about it. We may all be wrong, and the car may be fine. I hope that's the case.. but, the fact that both of them have been on here and said nothing, points to something negative.

I got my car dyno-tuned at MPH in December of last year and that car was there. It had twins on it already. I know what I paid for my car and they had it 90 days. That car has been with the MPH guys for like 2 years now at least. The funny thing was Tim said it was almost done in December of 2009. It was my understanding that all it needed was painting and was waiting for a chance to get into some guy's booth in Atlanta. That car is gonna cost as much as a house when it's finally finished.

Very well possible this car broke the OP's bank, and the shop is sitting on the car............

Happens all the time.

What all did you have done to your car for it to be there 90 days?

Pro-Line built longblock, fuel system upgrades, blower and tune. I never rushed the guys because I was paying off $1000 a month towards the final bill. It took a month for the motor to come back and we added some parts along the way as we went. If I had rushed it, it would have been out in 45 days. Those guys had a lot of work. I actually talked to Tim about that car. It was parked next to the dyno and I spent an hour going over it. Tim said the kid kept endlessly changing the combo. I think that car is on it's 3rd motor and 3rd blower combo at least. I got the impression Tim was gonna be glad to get it out. As I said, it was ready for the paint booth in December of 09.

Actually, from what I was told, Tim convinced Austin to go with the MPH twin 67mm kit, versus a HP kit, because it would be better. I know Austin made a few changes in the mix, but, that was several years ago. The car has had it's new engine/turbo kit in for a VERY long time.

Tim does awesome work.. I just question what's going on here, because something doesn't smell right. Ya know?

I'm betting that they're having some issues or something happened to the motor. But....there is another option. A year or so ago there was a silver cobra at MPH getting twin 76's along with a twin screw and some other work. His build just kept dragging out. Turns out that the guy had lost his job and couldn't pay the payments on the car and it ended up getting repo'd. Another member on here bought it and resold it I believe. But I sort of doubt this was the deal with Austins car.

Sorry for not keeping u guys in the loop.. Life has been pretty hectic recently..
Going through a divorce.. The car has been done for quite some time, just waiting for the snow to melt so he can finish the street tuning..

Unfortunately I have lost interest in the car.. I started a new career and wont have time to tinker with it, so I think Ill probably enjoy it when it gets back, but sell it for a viper shortly after..
Anyone interested in a car of this calliber? No idea what to ask.. I know Im going to get raped over the coals, but I wont give the car away..

All I can say is WOW. It's pretty obvious you've lost interest if the car has been done all this time. So where are the dyno graphs?

If your serious about a viper,
I got a friend with a ACR that has like 1000 miles on it ( Or very close ) and he is willing to deal on the price.
Triple black from what I remember.
Its been in storage in a air conditioned wharehouse since he bought it and never seen rain.

Sucks about divorce. If I remember right.... you haven't been married too long.
