It’s been nearly 30 Years since Ford’s Modular Engine family made its inauspicious debut in the form of a 190HP Non-PI 2V 4.6L in a 1991 Lincoln Town Car. In that time it’s gone from being seen as poor follow-up to its pushrod predecessor to the preeminent bolt-on power production platform in modern Pony Cars.
