I have a built SRA that I'm looking at trading for a IRS with at least a irs brace and possibly upgraded bushings. . I enjoy driving the car but the coilovers make the ride pretty stiff. I'm just looking for a change and something comfortable for me and my wife to ride in. Looking for someone local and someone that will help do the swap together. Let me know what you have.
Heres what I have:
94 solid axle rear with all new bearing
31 spline Moser Axles
Auburn Locker
4.10 Ford Motorsports gear
GT rotors and caliper with new brakes
edelbrock adjustable upper control arms
steeda lower control arms
MM rear coilovers with bilstien shocks
borla stinger catback
All parts have approx 6k

Seems like the logical solution would be to lower your spring rate or ditch the coilovers altogether instead of going to a stock IRS, also you should get one with some goodies on it because you have a good amount of work done and you would be short changing yourself IMO. If it were me I would put in a torque arm and a pan hard bar then sell your upper control arms and maybe go with a stock diff (don't know if you need it), the auburn I had was super winy/noisey, don't know if that is a gripe too. By doing this your SRA can start moving and soaking up bumps on the road not out handle the IRS car and not to mention hook! Just thinking out loud here...

The SRA is fine, its the coilovers that are rough. Heres a pic of how far the rear tire sticks out.

I'm afraid to put softer springs back there because of this. I found someone to swap with and it has a brace and level 2 halfshafts. The ride does not bother me to much when driving but I would rather not have a pregnant wife suffer when we go out in the cobra.:-D
