Hi Gang,

A few of you have asked and I wanted to give you input on the C8 I had vs the DH I currently have. Initially I felt that the vette would be much faster stock but after testing both cars I realize the DH is awfully close, especially in any type of roll race as the cars seem to trap within 2-3 mph of each other on 93 octane. To me, this is very impressive considering the vette is rear engine, dct and lighter. The mustang has way more space than the vette and a backseat as well.

The vette responded well to boostane making it faster, I have not tested the DH with boostane yet. So, I will post the 93 numbers without boostane.

Both great cars that are now close in MSRP. For those on the fence about the DH, I think if you CAN get one at msrp, you should.

Complaints with the DH so far: Glass roof would have been nice, no heated/cooled seats with the recaros, massive issue with the pirelli trofeo tires spitting rocks into the side skirts of the car. No launch control on the auto DH.

The dragy numbers:

Best C8 0-60 3.3 seconds
Best DH 0-60 3.9

Best 1/8 C8 7.3@95
Best 1/8 DH 7.8@93

Best 1/4 mile C8 11.48@119
Best 1/4 mile DH 12.02@117

Best 60-130 C8 10.2
Best 60-130 DH 11.1

Very true and my whipple is coming soon to a theatre near me...lol. Car should run low 10s in the upper 130's from what I am seeing online. A little much for the street but alot fun...lol.

Oh yeah, it will be a monster. I think Lethal has some content out there with a Whipple'd DH.

I would expect a bigger difference in trap speed for almost a full second between 60-13

Didn't know that- I thought tuning was off limits so no supercharger options existed.
tuning exists, it ain't cheap, and the DCT is still a limiting factor to performance, but they make numbers on the dyno :)

I think it came out this year?

No trans support though.

I'm taking my C8 in tomorrow for a dyno session. Supposed to be 495 at the crank, but I have a CAI, TB, headers, and test pipes. I'm also at 7K' elevation, so FI would be nice. Starting price is around $20K. Too rich for my blood.

The aftermarket is trying to get rich off this platform.

$20k is crazy for a blower.
