300k for a z06 with a larger blower seems a bit......rich.
If it’s manual it is what it is. You’ll lose more on C8ZR1 resale. The tiny performance difference between the C7 and C8 isn’t worth it IMO.

Good for you. I reached out to several of my General Motor dealer buddies and they have wayyy too many people on their lists to even make me want to get my hopes up.

I get there are so many successful peopel

But it will always blow my mind truly how many people can afford sick shit

I paint chess boards and my wife collects dandelions, our budget ~$4M

House hunters every single time.

Like I got a few buddies

Gt2 Porsches and shit.

But god damn.. I get affording 1. Hell.. give me 2 years I bet I could afford a super car if I don’t get someone pregnant.

But the amount of people who are like .. “ hmm.. got 4 cars.. oh shit. 250k corvette lemme get that too”

Happened for the Ford GT as well in 05. Then by midyear 06 they were discount. Early dealer markup hurt total sales, no doubt.

True story.
My dad still slightly regrets not trading his ‘67 GT500 on a left over GT at a smaller local dealer.

Anyone hear how long they plan to make these?
Might sell 2 rides for one of these.
I’d actually get the convertible as the targa top and no performance reduction is pretty sweet.

That seems extremely fair for what you are getting.

It’s basically a super car.
Honestly that’s an incredible bang for your buck! Well played Chevrolet, well played.
Yeah, I agree with you both. If I had $200K-$300K to blow on a new car, I'd happily pay $175K for the new ZR1. In my eyes, it's an affordable exotic/super car. The only other American made high performance hot rod of real interest would be the Mustang GTD...just because...assuming I had $300K to blow on it. My first choice, though, would be the ZR1. A stunning supercar and really a great bank for the buck!

If I had crazy money to spend on a car it would be the Rolls Royce convertible or gtfo. It’s pure class.

In all honesty in my lifetime I wouldn’t spend crazy money on any car. It’s just not that important to me like houses.

While the ZR1 is a hell of a value for what you're getting, the vette is the new $30k millionaire car and it's insane how many are on the road here. I'd rather get a real used exotic for that much IMO.

It's a little high, this one on BAT went for $270 yesterday. 821 miles

I believe the one at the Jupiter dealer was on Corvette forum for $195k a few months back. I thought about grabbing it - I was cross shopping ZR1s with Z06s - but even that was too much. At the end of the day it is just a c7.

Agreed... performance per $, I'd rather pay $270k for a new C8 ZR1 than a C7 just to have a manual. If I want to bang gears (and I do), I'd rather do it in a car much more raw than a C7.
