i see that, if i ever get tired of the 57's would it just be a swap to 62's /67's?

are you on pump or race with your #'s

I only usually run around 15psi boost on the street with 91 pump gas, for me that is almost 700rwhp. My car is tuned super safe because it's easy to make power with turbos while still keeping your tune safe. My A/F is right around 11 and I'm only running 16* max timing and still making that much power.

The beauty of a turbo setup is that I really don't need any more power than that 99% of the time (I've kicked my car sideways at 80mph on the highway at 15psi). It will get to a certain point that you will want to go to a higher octane to be safe and you will hit 800+rwhp no problem. So really I just suggest you get 2 tunes: 1 for pump and 1 for race gas for whenever you want to get really crazy :)

yes, as long as the flanges are the same and they bolt up the same for the downpipe, you can just do an easy swap.

no way in hell. Im not willing to risk an engine like this on pump gas. If I run high hp, I run high octane race gas.
Ill run 700rwhp or less on pump.

    First 2 runs were a pair of 11.20's on 11#s - 126

The last run was 20#s and went 10.67 - 138. 60' on all 3 runs were in the 2.0's......

All were on saleen 18" rims with 295-35 Nittos.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwgP7MkZWqc"]YouTube - Moroso[/ame]

I turned the 57's up to 23#s a few weeks later and went a best of

    2.061
    7.189
    114.43 - MPH
    9.036 - 1000'
    10.700
    128.05 - MPH

On that pass I actually was hitting the rev limiter so I had to coast thru (26" tall tires and a 3.31 rear weren't enough). I'm guessing it happend right around the 1000' mark. In my quest for 9's on 18's I hurt the engine (dropped a valve seat) so I took the opportunity to upgrade the turbo's to 61's while everything was apart. I should have the car back next week, but I'm probably going to wait for some better weather before I go back out.

I maxed out my 57s on the dyno at 25#s. The car was surging on the dyno, so we decided to back it down a couple of psi to be safe (at 23#s it still made 780 thru a 4R70W). I guess it wasn't safe enough seeing as the IAT temps (on the run where the valve seat came off) were in excess of 170*.

Moral for today, don't max out the turbos. Bad things can happen......

Thanks for all the advice. I most likely will go with the Hellraiser and the stock supercharger. If my motor goes it goes. I think that setup is pretty limit less and in the future when I want an all out race car, it can do the job.

With that compounded boost I would plan for a built motor soon.

Really? I think if you keep it safe you should be fine. Run the right fuel and a good tune. Don't try and get to crazy and the stock motor should hold up fine.

Around 20lbs for the street tune and 25 for the race tune.

When you say 20 I'm asuming you are running the turbos at around 10-12 PSI. Becuase with the added boost of the supercharger you will be up there. TRBO VNM could explain how compounded boost works better than I. Plus he has installed a couple kits. I think you might be surprised how easy it is to build boost on these set ups.

No I was talking about at the turbo's. Like I said earlier, if the motor go's I will rebuild it. I know these motor's are strong and given the right supporting mods, tune, and fuel, I think they can handle a lot stock.

That motor is gonna pop quick. 20 PSI on the Turbo's + the supercharger will (not really sure on the number)be over 30 PSI most likely. I'm sure Trbo vnm could chime in. Why not just run the turbos till you get a built motor? You can probably put down 650+ on pump with just a twin hellion kit.

This article is what's got me thinking about the twin with supercharger setup http://www.musclemustangfastfords.c..._compound_boost_2003_mustang_cobra/index.html

If you have not already take a look, it is pretty interesting.
