Jesus people...trust but verify before feeding into all this hyperbole. More facts for everyone: GM has already recalled AND repaired 991,343 of the 1.4 million vehicles recalled so far. They are requesting an exemption on certain vehicles that it says use a different inflator design and should not be included. All data to this point has backed up their claim. The NHTSA has so far played along. They could have easily ordered the full recall if they felt justified in doing so. Who knows, maybe they ultimately will. As usual, the media has done a brilliant job in crafting the message it wants everyone to hear. GM seeks to avoid Takata recalls for fourth straight year So they've already repaired some of the affected vehicles, but are requesting that certain models be omitted, and have data to support their argument. In a rational manner, explain why this makes them morally bankrupt? Is this the same type of moral bankruptcy that kept Ford from self reporting (they had all the data that showed there was an issue) that their Explorer's were flipping over due to a tire/suspension flaw? Or was that different?
